This design reminds me of 50s/60s actor Clint Walker.

I guess L&C did it first since it debuted in 1993, while STAS was 1996

Ah thanks. That is an awesome and well done scene. I consider the L&C pilot pretty much the 90's Superman movie The series had some ups and downs but I really dig the pilot.

Agreed, and I don't care what some people say Dean Cain was a good Clark Kent / Superman.

His Clark Kent was awesome, and he never focused much on Superman. Superman was like hulking out to an extent. The show was Lois and Clark afterall

Yeah the first two episodes can be considered a movie anyway.

It's a shame The Hub got rid of it just when I started re-watching and enjoying the series again

STAS is iconic and classic. The character designs, but as far as the entire animated series itself, it's a little cheap. White fire beams, not enough lighting depth and shading or colors. The JL animated series animation was much better. I also much prefered Superman's red briefs than the black one with the red stripe. However the S looked sloppy most of the time and sometimes Superman's neck and chest looked way too big. As for STAS, the S usually looked consistent. Not that I dislike STAS, but I loved the animation so much better in the JL animated series.

I liked Public Enemies's Superman look but was disapointed that it didn't perfectly match the comic book artist. You didn't see the blue eyes that much. In the comic, they were black dots or lined black eyes.

I strongly disagree about the animation being much better in JL. Just compare "Secret Origins" to "World's Finest Pt.1", or Darkseid in "Twilight" to how he was in "Legacy", the animation in STAS was much smoother and more consistent. Having everything drawn by hand such as ships and vehicles also looked much better than the CGI they would frequently use for JL/U. I thought the first 2 seasons of the Justice League series didn't have enough depth and shading, compared to STAS or JL/U anyway:

White fire beams?? Lol they didn't even bother colouring in Darkseid's omega beams in "Twilight"

The animation on Flash in "Speed Demons" and sense of speed it conveys is much better than 'Justice League' ever accomplished

Fleisher's has always looked awesome to me.

This was my animated introduction to Superman. It's still the best imo.

Besides being one the best animated Superman deigns ever the JL:COTE, Doom and Young Justice design also reminds me of classic tv/film actor Clint Walker.

I prefer the STAS one; it's like a modernized, streamlined version of the fleischer design
