Favourite Arcs of All Time

The core concept is pretty different actually. It used to be Sliders meets X-Men. Now it's just... crappy X-Men with a few alternate realities thrown in.

So true. It's a shame CC can't seem to leave his X-Men alone, and attempt to approach different characters and different realities that at least hold some diversity, other than a different gendered X-Man.

Nah. Morph is a perverse aberration and the rest of the team are a bunch of hollow imitations of the X-Men from Claremont's long-gone golden years on that title.

I'm pretty sure Claremont is ignoring the Morph thing, honestly. I'm still hoping for more diversity at this point.

Well, problem is, that's actually editorially mandated. He can't use any other characters than the ones he's created with the exception of like Morph and that Hydra Sue Storm.

Ignoring it's not the way to go. Until it's directly addressed and corrected, he's still Proteus masquerading as Morph while the others treat that abomination like their buddy.

For the most part the only non-Spidey books that I've read are ones that have come out in the past few years, so I don't have a whole lot to compare it to. That said, Brubaker's run on Cap is amazing and probably my favorite continuous story I've ever read. Other than that, Kraven's Last Hunt, Spider-Man: Blue, the Death of Gwen Stacy, and the Sandman anthology (what I've read from it) probably round out my favorites.

Ive always liked the Avengers (vol 3) run by Kurt Busiek and George Perez. :)
