They were all good (even Hux was surprisingly entertaining as a baddie). But it's kind of a tossup between Rey and Kylo right now (I'm leaning more towards Rey right now).

Phasma needed a bigger role. Especially for how they marketed her. Hopefully in the next film she will get a bigger role. Or at least, just something to do.

Speaking of which, how come there isn't a thread for BB-8? BB-8 flippin' stole the show, IMO! It was the most adorable new droid ever! Didn't like how little screentime R2-D2 got either, especially compared to C-3PO who I've never liked....

I was happy to see a proper Han Solo after he basically just became a comedic sidekick in ROTJ. He's back in top form in this one, even if he's old now.

As for the new guys, I liked BB-8, Poe, Ren, and especially Rey who I thought was fantastic. She definitely has the ability to be the lead character going forward.

On the downside, Finn was annoying and I didn't like the villains outside of Ren at all.

1. Kylo Ren. Starts off as a cliched Sith Lord, transforms into something really interesting in the final part of the movie.
2. Finn. Hard to vote who was better - him or Rey. I kinda liked both equally for various reasons.
3. Rey.

Luke Skywalker is my favorite OT Starwars character, followed by Han. Han was my favorite in the film, given Luke was practically not there, then Poe, then Rey, then BB-8, and Kylo Ren/Finn are tied for 5th.

Kylo Ren for sure and I don't know if anyone else could have played it as well as Adam Driver. Even little things like the way he was walking, fast and frantic, he was genuinely scary and unpredictable. Love him. Hope he goes even further into crazyland in the next movie.
