Favourite scenes where someone does an emotional 180

I love it when films start acting a certain way and then suddenly go off in another direction. What are some of your favourite scenes like this?

Mine are ...

1. The bit in return of the King where you think the Orc is going to get squished by a huge rock only for him to leap out of the way at the last moment and then the very next scene is when the nazgul attack Minas tirith. I love the way it goes from comedy (with the trolls face and reaction) to pretty much apocalptic straight away.

2. The bit in Jaws

When the kids pretend to be the shark only for them to get a row of policeman bearing down on them and then while the comedy from that scene is playing out, the real shark glides into the lagoon next door and starts getting ready to stir things up
