Your favourite cut scenes? (spoilers, obviously)

What are your favourite, most memorable cut scenes and moments in gaming?

Any console, any game, as many as you like...

The Resident Evil series has quite a lot, for me (surprise surprise right?).

The beginning of 3 especially, with the cops showing up with the swat team to battle zombies. This was a big, pitched battle I always wanted ot see in zombie movies but never got. I just think it was a brilliant way to open the game.

The ending of 3 as well....the nuking of Racoon, along with the coda with the solemn music and radio broadcast, and the excellent credits music, moved me quite a bit.

Mikhail going toe to toe with nemesis was ballsy as hell, and cemented my liking for tthe character, despite an all too brief apperance.

The ending of RE2, where the metal music, kicks in is brilliant.

The endiing of outbreak, even though the game sucked, was also pretty gandiose, as the nukes fly towards the city with dramatic music.

In Legacy of Kain: Defiance, I LOVE the scenes where Moebius is killed (twice!) by kain and raziel, and where raziel gives into his destiny to be by kain's side.

The opening movie of Onimusha 3. Awesome fight choreography there.

The CGI in the Lost Odyssey demonstration. Made my jaw drop.

The opening movie of Final Fantasy VIII - the fight between Squall and Seifer.

The first time I saw stealth camo-ed Snake jumping off the Washington Bridge in the MGS2 demo - my most memorable moment on the PS2. And a whole lot of other moments in MGS2. Really, the music and direction impresses me even to this day.

The opening movie of Final Fantasy VIII - the fight between Squall and Seifer.

Probably my all time favourite. I still haven't tired of watching this.

Oh definately the opening to Onimusha 3. Just beautiful stuff. Once you saw that, you knew you were in for a game of epic proportions.

The teaser to Onimusha 3 also had my heart pumping.

Pretty much everything in God of War but most of all the death of Kratos. After everything you go through in that game, that's quite a blow to the heart. You pretty much have the same expression he does when he's impaled.

Prince of Persia: The Two Towers. Just an awesome ending. Makes everything come full circle. Really cool. Also the scene where he's surrounded by soldiers and out of nowhere comes the people who are still human and an all out brawl sets loose. The old man of course makes every scene he's in that much cooler

Also Warrior Within's ending (the REAL ending). Very good teaser of things to come. Fools you into thinking everything's finally alright, Prince is getting laid and everything then BAM! Total war and destruction of his home! The old man's words once again driving home things. "You cannot change your fate...No man can."

Mortal Kombat Deception's opening. Armageddon's opening is pretty awesome too...Shaolin Monks' as well. These guys are just good at this.

X-men Legends II opening. Archangel's reveal as well.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance's opening. Nightcrawler's scene is awesome too.

MGS3 (huge spoilers): The Boss' death, Snake having the crap kicked out of him, scenes with Eva's boobs

The end of the WC3 Human campagin (really the only good thing about WC3 was the cut scenes) where the newly zombified Prince Arthas goes home to visit his father. He walks into the throne room, kneels. Stands up and runs his daddy through. His father then says, weakly "Arthas, what are you doing!!" Arthas responds, "Succeding you, father." And shoves the blade in to the hilt and twists it. Then he picks up his crown, looks at it and says. "This kingdom will fall!"

The unveiling of Revans face in KOTOR.

The intro movie to RA2 is also awesome. Soviet tanks rolling into Texas. Soviet paratroopers landing in NY and blasting the statue of liberty. The Kirov airships drifting past the golden gate bridge. Awesomeness defined. The one from Yuri's reveng is good too.
