The Avengers Fiege Talks Avengers,Thor,etc.

They should have Ant-Man show up in the film so have a 5 man team to contain the hulk. For War Machine is 4th for heard already in the Avengers movie as well as Black Widow.

Just about everything he said was great to hear! Also love how he acknowledges that too many characters in a movie are why some sequels suck and that IM2 will still be focused on Stark.

Can't to see in IM2 how Thor will tie into it all. We already have some slight news on Captain America and his ties with Stark's Dad.

IMO parts of TIH had Avatar level CG and dare I say it some parts surpassed avatar, most notably the cave scene, the problem was consistancy, that high level of cgi needs to be mantained throughout the entire movie.

I agree, it just wasn't as hyped as Avatar's CG and wasn't as respected accordingly so.

So so far we got the big three, with Fury and the Hulk pretty much confirmed. I honestly think that will be enough, but there is definitely room for WM, BW, and Ant-Man.

I suspect they may stick Wasp in there to balance out the sausage fest.

I was hoping that they'd have Black Widow and Hawkeyes there as supporting characters (I thought ScarJo signed a multi-picture deal as BW), but maybe the cast becomes too big to manage.

Why would they go back to Bana? Norton in The Incredible Hulk was directly linked to the universe they are creating, by Tony Stark showing up at the end. Norton is a better Bruce Banner anyways, especially concerning appearance. I assume they will try and get Norton back for Avengers, with Hulk, and if that doesn't work, well they will work it out.

Think about the cast of Avengers. Hulk: Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, William Hurt, Tim Roth?. Iron Man: Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle. Thor: Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston. AND whoever is Captain America. AND any other parts that Avengers itself will bring. This is a HUGE cast! Yes some of these characters probably wont appear, but they all potentially could. Does this excite anyone else?

Marvel Studios Is doing it the way the Marvel Universe should be done. And so
far the only thing taken from ultimate Universe Is Samuel L jackson as ultimate
Nick fury and taking elements of the Ultimate Hulk's origin and combing It with
the TV series Hulk's origin.

Before Avengers Nick Fury will also be In Thor and Captain America.Shield
Agent Couson will also be In Thor before the Avengers.

Don Cheddle will be In The Avengers but we don't know rather James Rhodes
will suit up as War Machine In The Avengers.Black Widow will be In the Avengers.

Based on the ending of the Incredible Hulk General Ross could be In The
Avengers. He apart from Hulk and Banner Is probally the character from the
Hulk Franchise most likely to appear.

Natalie Portman reportly signed a Multipic deal to play Jane Foster so there Is
a possabilty of a apperance by her In The Avengers. We know Loki Is among the
threats In the Avengers. And because of that we should not ignore the posssabilty of a Odin apperance.

With Ant-Man the big question Is will he be Introduced In the Avengers or will
marvel wait for his solo film.I have heard talk that Scott Lang will be the Ant-Man In the ant-Man film and Henry Pym would be supporting character. If true
they could have Henry Pym already Ant-Man In the Avengers and the Ant-Man film has Lang taking over as Ant-Man.The question also how many characters
will they Introduce In the avengers. They may want to focus on characters
from Iron Man,The Incredible Hulk,Thor, and Captain America coming together.
And that and having them face a Loki controlled Hulk could sustain a film.

The Avengers can't get here soon enough. Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Nick Fury, (according to prior interviews) Black Widow all together on one team? Kick ass!

I wonder if Marvel will do an "Avengers" film universe (with the above named characters) and then do a "next generation" film universe with: Ant-Man, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, and Black Panther. If every 5 years they create a new "movie-verse" I think that would be a really innovative and amazing concept.

Whoops! I thought I only hit it once.

I'll use this error to add this. If I'm not mistaken in the comics don't Iron Fist and Dr. Strange work together? So perhaps a team of Ant-Man, Black Panther, Iron Fist, and Dr. Strange could work?

I think should Keep Fury and one of the main people from the 4 major player in the first Avengers for the Seqeuls.
I think Iron Man should be in all the Avenger films since Fury went to him film wise first.

Don't know if it would excite Marvel's payroll officer.

If they will indeed use Hulk in the Avengers movie, I hope they will improve the CGI drastically because in TIH the Hulk still looks too fake, and I think it may be the reason why many moviegoers couldn't really get into the movie. Now that Avatar has pushed the boundary of CGI creatures, if Marvel wants to use Hulk again they better make sure to make Hulk look as realistic as possible.

Would you say that Ang Lee's Hulk looked fake too? HE'S A BIG, FRIGGIN GREEN MONSTER!

I agree with Kirmit. Consistency was the biggest issue.

They had the cgi perfect during the night scene. Do you guys think they will call Louis Leterrie back to maybe direct The Avengers for he had Stark in his movie and did final handling Hulk action and is now doing Clash Of The Titans. So was wondering if he'd be a good fit for the blending of the films for i heard many wanted Favarou but he said no for some reason.

Favreau turned it down because there'd be simply too much on his plate to go from producing/directing IM2 to then go pretty much straight into producing/directing The Avengers is probably too much for him to handle, hence why he's just going to produce it.

Letterier has made it very clear (ever since TIH came out) that he would LOVE to direct The Avengers...

I get the vibe that whoever directs The Avengers will be one of the men doing the solo films as I can't really see them getting an outsider...the 'safe' choice would be to go with someone who will have already worked with these characters to some degree.

I think it'll be either:

-Kenneth Branagh
-Louis Letterier
-Joe Johnston

Just a hunch. UNLESS they get one hell of an A-list director to direct this sucker.

Not to mention the fact that he's directing 'Cowboys & Aliens' sometime in there too. Which, BTW, really sucks that RDJ isn't in anymore. I like Daniel Craig, but as a cowboy in the wild west?
