Never read the books, never watched the movie.
I didn't even knew it was a thing until there was talks about the movie everywhere.

Good Lord this guy is creepy. I half-expect him to have a whole dug in his basement where he keeps screaming women while telling them to "put the lotion in the basket."

Seriously, just change a few things around and you'd have an effective story about a psychopath/future serial killer. And you wouldn't even need to change that much really.
 
It's only creepy when the guy is ugly. So no Hypester will ever be in that role. :csad:

It's only because he is rich and handsome that women are into it. I thought 2016 forward was all about woman empowerment and they all go and read books and line up for movies about male dominance and female physical and emotional abuse. Hell, if Gray said he grabbed 'em by the *****, these women would still be loving it.
 
The unspoken rule is even the most hardcore grrrl power independent woman will still gladly go submissive if the right dude puts it on her.

- Ana gets a job

- Ana and Christian have sex some more

- OH, and they **** over people who pose “a threat” to their relationship.


In other words, this movie is about absolutely ****ing nothing! NOTHING! If you saw the first film, you saw it all. This nothing but an 118-minute cringe fest from beginning to end that is some way somehow significantly worse than its predecessor. Fifty Shades Darker is the equivalent of seeing an incompatible couple getting back together after a week only for their relationship to go back to stage one.

A lot of reviews are mentioning how random it was that a poster of The Chronicles of Riddick is featured in the background so much in one scene in the movie. :funny:

This crap makes me embarrassed to be a woman. If you want to see a better version of this movie watch The Submission of Penny Pax; it's a porn and it has better acting than this crap.
 
I have a newfound respect for Jamie Dornan after watching "The Fall" series, in which he was fantastic. I honestly feel bad that he's involved with this garbage franchise.

I think he and maybe his agent were thinking that it's great for exposure.

The problem is the recovery time afterwards. Kristen Stewart has been finally evolved as an actress but it took her 3-4 years to do so. But it's a challenging course of reinventing herself, which can be learning curve.

Meanwhile, that Wolf Boy's career may not ever succeed past his scuusful run with Twilight.

So with our two leads, it's so uncertain...
 
The movie's amusing if you see it with a group or a packed house. It's barely even a movie. There's no real plot. The dialogue is like a bad soap opera.

I get there is some fantasy and wish fulfillment at work here, but I don't understand why this is so popular.
 
So I've heard this is pretty much really light soft core porn... But it toes that line of just straight up NC-17 rating.
 
Dakota is probably the one halfway decent thing in this movie. And I find her likeable just because it's so obvious in how she delivers the dialogue that she HATES it so much and just wants to get it over with and get out of there ASAP! It's kind of hilarious actually.

Also apparently every guy in this universe is a creepy *****e, ugh.

Oh and that:
Nonsense with the helicopter crash
Was so monumentally stupid that I can hardly believe that it wasn't intentionally so.
