I have deinstalled it and reinstalled it already, but when I click on the icon, it just won't start up.

make sure there is an .exe file in the program files folder for Firefox, make sure any Virus program isn't blocking (highly doubtful but just in case), make sure you downloaded it from the offical Mozilla site.

Other than that I can't really think of anything else, try downloading Firefox Portable & seeing if that works, just type in Firefox Portable in google & you'll find a download link.

crtl+alt+delete go to processes and end task on firefox.exe

^^^ try this. A coworker of mine had problems getting into Acrobat Reader awhile back, so she just kept double clicking on the icon. When I got over there I must've killed 30 acrord32.exe processes. :csad: After that, all was well.

That's usually the culprit when it happens to me. I'll close Firefox, but the process somehow stays active. So when I try to reopen it, nothing happens.

It doesn't even have that, oddly.

Thanks for the help guys. Guess I'll have to stick to IE for a while.

Oh god, it's worse than I thought! :p

What version of FF were you using?

Nope, not using Vista. XP.

And I had version 2.something

Try version 3. It's still in beta, but it's beta 4. Almost release quality. I haven't had any problems with it.

You may need to uninstall version 2 first. I haven't, and they both run fine as long as I don't try to run them at the same time (only one version of FF can be running). If you do uninstall version 2, manually delete anything that the uninstaller missed; folders, registry entries, etc...

have you tried a reboot? also try going to start>all programs> mozilla and start it that way instead of the short cut on the desktop.
