Quality time!?!?! Yeah right. You think first borns WANT to spend time with the parents? That's the BIG difference between first borns and the rest though, we're smart and they're dumb and you know it.

Also, the reason first borns HAVE to spend more time with the parents is because we would have KILLED alot of you other stupid pricks for taking our space and things. They protect you all from big brother or sister.

Yeah, not really finding that my personal experience meshes with this study's hypothesis. I'm the oldest but my brother definitely required more attention from my folks when we were growing up, particularly when he got into his teens.

I guess I'm the only one who had similar experiences with the study? I kind of agree though from my experience. My older brother got a little more attention primarily because he was the first one to do everything first. But I guess that's just me, though.

I disagree with this, I am a younger sibling and I know I've always gotten a bit more attention than my brother. Even today, my parents openly discuss how pissed off they are at my brother (who is at college) while only expressing pride or happyness towards myself and my actions. If my brother has gotten more time with my parents, it was time that they spent yelling at him for being a dick. That all being said, I love my brother and we are good friends, but I really can't deny that he is a total prick to the people around him most of the time, so my case might differ from that of an average family (?)
