This is my first one after weeks of trying to get positioning. its strange how hard it is at first, youd think it to be easy.

Keep practicing. Its pretty self explanatory what he meant.

The thumb looks flat. As if you drew it from above, but when you hold a fist its angled. Unless...my fists look differnet. Anyways. The whole thumbnail shouldn't be showing, and the whole thumb doesn't extend as far as it should.

Maybe try adding more curve to the knuckes. I don't know anyone who's hands are that blocky.

If you were going for a certain style,(like sort of cartoony) I'd say you pulled it off and it looks good. If you were going for realism, it's a nice start but like the others said needs practice.
