First Look At the Silver Surfer??!

I just had a thought. As much as i love the Surfer, but after looking at the pictures he's just to alienish to become popular to mainstream. He'll never reach the popularity that say Superman, Batman and even Wolverine has. I would have liked for FOX to cast a real actor so as people can connect to him more. I'm one of the few who wouldn't mind the Surfer morphing between his Silver and humanoid form. Casting Keanu Reeves as the Surfer wouldn't have been so bad, even though it may have been a rumor.

The Surfer will be plenty popular, so long as they don't screw around with his character.

If Story and co play their cards right i can't imagine people not liking the SS.Just like he captured hearts in the comics he should be able to do the same in the movies.Hopefully.

Also, urm....the point is not to make the Silver Surfer a huge Slurpee flavor/Cereal Box/Action Figure/Baby Shampoo Mogul.
And holy jeez, again with this "emotional connection" stuff.

Are people aware that some of the most emotional moments involved some of the most beloved characters of all time, i.e. Darth Vader, C-3PO, and R2-D2?!?!?, a garbage can with wheels who beeps like a baby monkey???

A talented writer and director can make you cry with a chair and a book and a worm...the Silver Surfer (you know, that ALIEN from the comics?) looking "alien" is not a problem in any way.

I predict that the design will be.....a silver guy on a surfboard. We can credit my seemingly telepathic powers to predict superhero designs, much as during the great "2003 Hulk design" debate I predicted (with absolute accuracy!) that Hulk would be muscular and green.

Sit back and watch, as the official design will be unveiled and people will exclaim "WOW! The Silver Surfer is a silver guy on a surfboard, just like in the comics!"
