First Official Wanted Photos Online!
Source: Empire
October 29, 2007

Empire has your first look at five official photos from director Timur Bekmambetov's Wanted, based on Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series. The fantasy-thriller, hitting theaters on March 28, stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Common, Kristen Hager, Konstantin Khabensky and Terence Stamp.

I must say only two things... "Whoa!" and "It's not that Wanted!".

Way to bear zero resemblence to the comics! :woot:

Just when you couldn't think this movie could get any worse they release pics of it.

Brings a whole new meaning to "in name only"

Love the shot of Angie hanging out the window blasting. i didn't like the book so all i care about is it being a cool action movie.

I've never read WANTED, but I have flipped through the graphic novel in barnes and nobles, what the hell are these pics of? Cause they sure aren't wanted the graphic novel, the story only slightly sounds the same.

Cool pics!

Though i haven't read the book yet (i'm planning to get it) the little i've seen online of the source material doesn't seem to look much like what's been presented in the movie. Sucks for Wanted fans.

This looks more like an American version of Nightwatch than anything.

I think I pretty much agree with that. It isn't the first time that Hollywood has butchered a film, and it certainly won't be the last, so who the hell cares if we get a straight up action film?

If that's the case....then why the hell even call it WANTED? Can't they just make a straight up action film without dropping the ball on what could have been a great concept for a film? I don't agree with the whole "let's just take what they give us" theory.....but that's just me.

The film is called 'Wanted' because the plot, however subtle, is derived from the graphic novel.

It looks nothing like the graphic novel, do they even have the same bad guy.

Ah...so that's what we are accepting now....as long as it's "subtle" they can slap a name on it and it's good to go? This is not a movie based on WANTED when it only resembles the source in name(s) only.

Yeah, I know, but was he the bad guy in WANTED the graphic novel?

As far as accepting goes, i am not accepting anything, i don't like the book so i am merely following this as an action movie called Wanted, I never thought the book could be adapted as it has no character that has any redeeming qualities, only way it could happen is if some studio decided to make a 100 million dollar NC-17 movie.

thank you, that's all i wanted to know. I never read the graphic novel either hunter rider, but i'm saying if you going to do something like WANTED you have to stick to the source material.

I'm not saying there should not be changes for the movie....but IMO the redeeming qualities that should have been in the movie were the comicbook aspects and the twist that supervillains have beaten the superheroes and are controling the world behind the scenes....a pathetic loser not only finds out this other world exists...but he is connected to it. I agree with what you are saying...there is no way a studio would/could make an AUTHENTIC WANTED film, but this is the extreme opposite of that which, to me, is worse.
