2008, huh? Getting the trekkies hyped up like a mofo.

Isn't Matt Damon supposed to be playing Kirk in this one? I wonder who'll be playing the rest of the crew.

I think they could get one more movie out of the Next Gen crew. They need one considering they only had ONE great movie.

Huh,i thought nothing was confirmed on this yet,is JJ Abrams involved ? as that will determine my level of interest:o

So I guess this Kirk Spock thing is really happening. It might be good, but I doubt it.

this could be great..but then again..how could you replace the next gen crew.. they have worked hard and deserved another movie.

Next Gen crew didn't make enough money at the box office with Insurrection or Nemesis.

If I were director, I'd start the new beginning of franchise like it happened with Batman movies.

Recasting the original Trek is like recasting the original Star Wars, it shouldn't be done.

I like it.

Simple, straightforward, bold, classic, and makes use of the entire space.

Nice poster.

God I hope they don't try to reacst the old crew. How can Abrams call himself a fan and do something like that. Move Forward now backwards

This movie is going to be a total waste. Why couldn't they make something all new, set apart from the TV series? There's never been a law stating that all Star Trek movies have to feature a ship and crew that's in one of the shows, is there?

They could make a movie that takes place like 50 years after TNG, and has an entirely new Enterprise and crew featuring real movie actors, and not be held back by any of the limitations they'd inherit by basing it directly off of a show.

I would have liked to see some another movie with the TNG crew, though seeing how the last movie ended, and how Insurrection and Nemesis performed, I understand why they aren't doing that again.

Honestly though, I don't want to see the old crew recast, or a new one. The appeal of the movies, for me, was that you already have characters that you know well from a TV series be in big epic stories. Even something like Insurrection, which was a stand-alone story, still had a scale that the show lacked.

that poster actually has me excited. i've always liked the original series more than any of the following ones...i'm VERY curious to see the artistic approach on this one. J.J. Abrams did a great job with M:I3...hopefully he'll do a great job with Star Trek.
