Daredevil Foggy Nelson Casting and Discussion Thread

There is a surprising lack of Foggy talk in these forums so let us fix that!
What do you want from the character in this show and who do you want playing him?

Sean Astin was a really popular choice, and I'd totally cast my vote for him if he were still 30 and a bit chubbier.

Considering they're probably going to go for someone in their mid 30s, Sean Astin is too old. But 10 years ago he would have done a good job.

Jon Favreau was one of the few highlights of the DD film, a pleasure to watch, but he's our Happy.

Jonah Hill would never do it; somehow he's managed to fool all of Hollywood into thinking he's amazingly talented and has become an A-lister.

Better than Galifanakis. Look at his recent work such as on "Justified." Patton can walk a fine line between dramatic and comedic. Plus, he's a comic book nerd.

Eh.. Well depending how old Matt is... How about Seth Rogen? He'd be a fantastic talent to have aboard the project.

I feel like Rogen would be too distracting. He'd bring too much typical Rogen to the role.

I saw Chris Samnee bring up Bobby Moinahan for Foggy on tumblr. I think he'd do a fine job he loves Marvel too.

As soon as I saw him suggested I was quietly sold on the notion.
Definitely disappointed he is Agent Koenig who apparently in the comics was a Howling Commando, which he most definitely will not be in this show... Eh, at least the show is finding its legs.

Like Sawyer sort of points out they're both sort of overbearing in their portrayals of themselves. They're fun actors but the terms acting should be used really loosely with them since what they are good at is exploiting their personal charisma, or lack thereof, and making that the central focus of anything they play.

Part of it could be the directors fault, but you need a more subdued personality playing to part in order for the Foggy to shine through.
