How sanitary are your glasses that you serve alcohol in? Me and a co-worker were discussing this, and I remember that the restaurant I used to work at didn't really do a good job of cleaning their glasses. So I was wondering if all bars/restaurants skimp on cleaning them thoroughly, or if most places are sanitary and my restaurant was just a bunch of slackers.

I was the only person at my work that would take the time to polish the glasses by hand before putting them away. So yes I think all bars/restaurants skimp on cleaning them thoroughly.

We had three bins to wash them in, but it just seemed so unsanitary because we used the same water and brushes every time.

We us a high powerd spray, then put them through a washing machine. Then when they came out to the bar, I'd dry them by hand and take care of any odd spots.

i clean all my glasses.....I even clean them before I pour drinks in them..... customers see that and they feel more comfortable coming to your bar..... that's how you develop regulars.

Well, I only had bartending duty once, but after they showed me that, I don't know if I could in all good conscience serve them drinks in those glasses...I definatly won't be drinking anything from there. I do like when bartenders clean the glasses in front of me, though. I forget that probably 100,000 people have drank from it before.

i'm very thorough with my bar... consistant and detail oriented.... not only does it keep my boss off my ass but it makes things go much quicker when the bar gets busy..

I keep my bar spotless.

Great little place

Happy hour at Rue-B CANNOT be beat. Their drinks are creative, tasty, and well worth the price, even not at happy hour. The environment is very mellow and cool. Surprisingly, for a place so cute with such good drinks, the food is really good as well. The sandwiches are particularly tasty.

love me.

I see, by the ratings, that you're not responsible for the atmosphere.

You also need to fix your coffee.

Should I ever come to New York, I might just stop in and say hi.

If I ask for directions, you're not going to send me through Harlem at 4am, are you?

well if you get all spastic on me and say something like "oh **** it's EQUINT77!!!.. I'm War Lord on Superhero Hype!!" then there'll be a problem. :woot:

And there's nothing wrong with Harlem at 4AM.. Gentrification has made that place safe now.

I'd never do that to you, man.

I'd just yell out, "HEY IT'S EQUINT77 from WWW.SUPERHEROHYPE.COM." and then I'd leave.

That, I would do because it doesn't make me look like a geek.

I'm not trying to humiliate you. I have to much respect for you man.

I'd just casually drop quotes of you saying you admire how some Catholic priests were able to hide their true selves for so long.
