Found it just a while ago while counting my change. It was really dirty and I could barely see a date, either 1800 or 1900. Cleaned it with some Diet Pepsi Max and now I can easily tell it has 1900 on it. It has a Native American head on it btw.

You may want to get that appraised somewhere non-governmental at first. i remember some story about some dude that went to some official shop and asked how much it was worth, the U.S. Treasury confiscated that **** because it was some kind of national thing.

I hope you stop drinking pepsi now that you see how easily it can clean a dirty penny :csad:

[Antiques Roadshow Sadist]Now, had you NOT cleaned the penny with Pepsi, it would be worth FIFTY to SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Now it's worth one twenty-fifth of a gum ball. [/Antiques Roadshow Sadist]

 known about that for years. My body...though, I don't drink it everyday anymore. Rather have coffee over...well, this isn't the damn point of this thread.

Although...if you drink soda by the liter(s) (Thinking 2 or 3 liters) almost every day...sooner or later it can really mess up your stomach. Know a person who had that happened to.

Mmm, a 2 or 3-liter sounds good right about now!

Coke is actually more acidic than Pepsi (greater phosphoric acid content).

those bastards are ********s!

I lol at the poor losers that "fix" their antiques and end up reducing the value

like this lady that had a stone cleaned but the jewler said to remove a peice of metal behind the stone so the stone could shine brighter... dumb broad ruined a 1890's engagement ring with a ruby... worth 25 thousand.. now worth **** compared to the 25 grand:o... I bet it was karma for that ***** :o

I collect coins and they never made gold pennies so you won't get a lot for it. Maybe 5-10 bucks depending on how nice it is graded.
