This show is fun and all, but it makes me chuckle how people on social media are being so hyperbolic about the quality here.

I think the one of the funnier things about this show is how dated it feels.
They act like Jamal coming out gay would be a bad thing, when today it's the complete opposite. Or that a major gangsta rapper would be the biggest rapper in the world.
Also the songs are bad.

And yet...I cant stop watching

I love Timbaland and I agree that these song are not that good.His music has sounded dated for the last couple and his songs on Empire is proof of that.That song Drip Drop is terrible and It sound like something Magoo wrote (I wouldn't be suprised if he wrote it.)

Taraji P and the middle son are the best part of this show.

I'm split. The Jamal stuff has been good, the Hakeem stuff... less so. I liked No Apologies.

But yeah, Drip Drop was annoying as all hell. Even more so because of the twitter love I was seeing for it after the show.
