TETRO is a story of Italian artist immigrants and their relationships. The film is scheduled for 2009, but not a whole lot is known about it.

The cast at one time was Javier Bardem and Matt Dillon, BUT Bardem had to drop out and his part was rewritten for a female. Worst of all, Dillon was replaced by that self-absorbed, talentless, stain of a human being Vincent Gallo.

Francis Ford Coppola, the man who gave us the 2 Godfather films, Apocalypse Now, The Conversation, Dracula, Tucker and Jack(just kidding) still has a place in my heart, but boy has he fallen far. Is it from age or lack of effort? Whatever the case, we may never see Coppola in his one great form again. :csad:

I think The Impact of The Godfather films and it constant praise has gone to his head...maybe he thinks everything he touches turns to Gold and now doesn't bother trying anymore...some say it happened to George Lucas as well, but i liked Revenge of the sith...:(

Actually, I do think that happened to Lucas. He was so use to the success of Star Wars that he thought he could do no wrong, and thought he could do whatever he wanted and it still be a success. While I too liked ROTS, I think the first two prequels serve as a good example of a filmmaker who has let success and money go straight to his head and blind his artistic vision.

But I digress. Yes, it very well could have happened to Coppola as well. Perhaps it happens to a lot of artists, and they have to overcome that by realizing their own humility.

I've heard about this, and I just recently read about Bardem leaving, but switching Dillon for Gallo :csad:

This looks interesting actually, thanks for posting the trailer!

The trailer started and I was "" but as it progressed it revealed a really interesting and visually fantastic looking film.

I had the pleasure to see this film today, and really enjoyed it.
Even through the last act and the ending seemed really disappointing, the movie is still a beautiful story with a very "Rumble Fish"-like style.

I strongly recommend it

I love it. It has a classic era look and feel that's you can't find anymore.

You are entitled to your opinion, but don't you think you should at least wait to see the film before bashing Coppola?

I'm excited for this. I've been disappointed with Coppola in recent years but I will always give him a chance.
