This is an old project I've had sitting around, which I never finished. It's a test/demo for a 3D Batgirl game I'd hoped to develop, using low budget and freeware tools. It doesn't allow you to do much except move Batgirl around in a 3D environment and make her kick.
The 3D environment is a model which shipped with the free 3D engine used to make the demo (X3D or Xception3D, for Game Maker by Mark Overmars). The Batgirl model is my own adaptation of the freely redistributable MakeHuman mesh for Blender. The figure was altered in Wings3D and animated in Blender and Poser. The Blender files are available on my website at the URL in my sigline. (The Blender files could be used to expand the game's animation set, if anyone wanted to try to do so.)
I'd hoped to develop this into something, and perhaps I'll adapt the idea to create a 3D virtual Barbara Gordon apartment, once I have the modeling done for that apartment. Unfortunately, this project taught me that I really don't have the patience to be an animator, or the math skills to program anything which tackles 3D rotational math (try reading up on quaternions some time - hoo boy).
The readme includes basic instructions. Unzip everything into the same folder to run the demo.
This is Windows only, although it may run on Mac or Linux using a Windows emulator.
