So I was driving to work today. I work at Wal-Mart a half an hour (highway miles) from my house. I was sick yesterday, and didn't feel so good today either. So about halfway there, the NIN song Every Day Is Exactly The Same came on the radio, and I realized, ever since I started this job, 4 months ago, every day IS exactly the same. I have no social life, no time to really do anything I want to do, and when I start college this fall, what little free time I did have would be gone. So I quit. I'm done with it, and for the first time in 4 months, I am so happy that I'm crying with joy. F**k Wal-Mart.

the only problem is, now I dont have a job...so I'm gonna have to go look for one tomorrow...maybe a gas station again, that's a good slacker job :o

Good for you man. Routine life is such a drag :(. Its a damn good song too.

anyone know any other song along the lines of every day is exactly the same and we're in this together?

That's nice to hear. Supermarket jobs can be such a drag. If I were you, I'd work at a video shop or a movie theater. I'm too paranoid about gas stations. I hear about people getting shot and robbed in there sometimes.

I live in a small ass town (hence the having to drive 30 miles every day to work at wal-mart), so I'm not worried about that...I already worked at a different one, I'm sure they'd take me back if I asked too...I am thinking about applying at the video store here in town as well, and possibly the new arcade they built if they're hiring :o

F**k. I would kill for a job at wal*mart.

I would kill for a job sucking fat hairy guys off.

Who cares, I need a job.

So, first you are happy because you quit your job and have free time. Now you are going out in search of another job because now you have realized that you need the money.

Seems to me that you got a lot of hours at WalMart and hated working long. I wouldn't be complaining. More hours=More money.

Walmart has agents in the field right now with orders to bring you back alive. You won't get far.

I hate greeters. Nor do I understand their purpose. To make you want to leave and not buy anything?
