Fright Night remake

Peter Vincent IS in the movie, just to let some of you guys know.

They sure as hell hid him well enough then. I figured at about 1:30 in, we'd see Charlie try and contact him or something, then have Tennant like humor him or something only to have a funny scene where he finds out that he's not making it up.

Yeah you would think they would play him up . This trailer completely left out one of the main draws to this remake. Hes an essential character and it was a dumb mistake for this trailer to leave him out.

Would have got a more positive reaction if they included him.

Not feeling this trailer at all. The movie doesn't look good, IMO. And no sign of Peter Vincent in it at all.

I thought it looked pretty good but then as I said before I have nothing invested in the original. I'm sure Tennant's character will get plenty of trailer time down the road.

...keep in mind that the trailer is largely cut from first-act material, so it isn’t nearly as revealing as it might seem.

I will give it a chance if I can watch it for free otherwise I will stick with the original & its sequel. At least Farrell isn't playing a sissy vampire like all those vampires in the Twilight movies.

I'm stoked for this one.

It looked okay I guess I thought original was okay so not overly stoked to see this. I thought Colin looked okay as the vampire and think he can pull off the role. Now I'm not sure bout the other characters I can see that one dude saying "I'm McLovin"....

I just saw the trailer and read something that a user had pointed out about the similarities of the trailer to 'Disturbia'. At first i paused but then after some thought i saw what he meant. The trailer pretty much makes it feel like 'Disturbia' but with a Vampire, not sure if that's good. I like Colin but this trailer doesn't do "it". Hopefully it doesn't disappoint those anticipating it. If there's one thing i hate is going to watch a movie at a theater and being let down:argh:...

Apparently he actually Hates being called that:o....

You don't hit the theatre a lot then, do you? :awesome:

I honestly thought that the trailer came off as a 'bust', sorry guys. It looks too bland in my mind.

I can't view the trailer at work, is "come to me" in there?

Trailer wasn't all that great. I haven't seen the original, but I always assumed it had a sense of humor to it? Because this trailer markets it to look like a standard horror film.

Fright Night had a wonderful sense of humor, but it was legitimately scary in parts too. One of the best draws of it was watching a complete coward (Peter Vincent) go up against legitimate powers of darkness, and win. It's a badass film.

Agreed. I LOVE the original, still have a VHS of it.

I think the trailer looked like it could have promise honestly. If Jerry is genuinely charming when in mixed company and Vincent is awesome then it should be better than the trailer looks. I hope the trailer has mischaracterized the movie a bit, which they often do.

Mclovin is no Evil either. He was one of the best parts of the first film. I'm just not digging him in this.

The original isn't all that great either.

I havent seen the original either. Didnt even hear of it until I heard about the remake. This looks okay. The first min of the trailer looked alot better than the rest. Nothing I'll pay to see, but when it's on HBO or Netflix Instant Stream I'll check it out

Blasphemer !! :argh:

Its up there with Weird Science, Big Trouble in Little China, and a few others as most underrated films of the era.
lol if you say so. I've never seen WS but I don't like BTILC.

*ducks*

I think it's just nostalgia talking when it comes to 80s movies. I grew up during the timeframe but I won't front and say that a lot of the stuff I liked wasn't garbage.
