Front page not working right with Google Chrome

it works. but it takes FOREVER to load

Its fully loaded on my end, and I have Comcast high speed internet.

That happened the first time for me, but ever since it loads perfectly fine and I'm using chrome as well.

How do I clear a cache? It doesn't work for my Firefox (on a Mac) either.

In Chrome, at the right top, you'll see a wrench, click on that. Then select "Clear browsing data..."

In Firefox, click on Tools > Clear Recent History.

Moved to tech. Also, fixed the grammar of the title.

is chrome any good, i'm using firefox and i don't see any point in changing, i've heard chrome is a memory hog

I've used Chrome a bit, and its definitely faster than Firefox...

Though I think I would prefer Firefox now, coz it has better tools like add ons, toolbars, security, reminders blah blah blah...And its a much more stable browser than Chrome is...I find my Chrome to crash quite frequently without warning on a few websites ...And Firefox also has the Save and Quit option when you close your browser...I don't think Chrome has that yet?

Is it just me or are the advertisements and promotions on the home page getting more invasive all the time? The other day there was a Dragon-Ball Z ad that was shooting fireballs all over the damn place and caused Firefox to crash about 3 times before I gave up on trying to load the page. Is SHH selling out?

That "ad" you were talking about was actually the intro to the site redesign. NOT an ad.

i tried chrome once, and i didn't really care for it. i also couldn't really get into firefox, although i wouldnt be against using it if i ever needed to

i'd recommend giving opera a try. i have an outdated desktop (2003-ish) and i run Opera on it as my browser, not only because i really like it, but also because it doesnt use a lot of virtual memory

Looks like its re-occuring. I've cleared my cache..works for a bit, then screws up after a couple re-visits.
