Full House Revival in the Works

I hope they go in a completely different direction and make it dark as f***. Go into Bob's alcoholism, Jodie's drug problem, have the Olsen twins stupid rich and out of touch with society, Dave and his hook ups with 90's alt rock girls, and of course uncle Jesse's unhealthy obsession with greek yogurt. So many possibilities haha

I read about it yesterday I think. It's focusing on DJ and Kimmy so they can write off anyone who doesn't want to be involved in it as living somewhere else. Although with the exception of the Olsen twins (who IIRC have retired permanantly) the rest of the cast isn't exactly burning up the screens with their presence.

Bob Saget and John Stamos being the two who have still have any relevance. When's the last time anyone saw Dave Coulier or Lori Loughlin in anything? Or whoever else was part of the cast.

So this is going to be like Joey? I'll pass.
I liked the old show, still do.

Not even going to lie, I'm going to watch this. you got it dude.

I hope Steve makes a return (if he's not DJ's husband who died)

Seriously, I appreciate the fact that they need to create single-parent situations in order for the premise of the show to work, but seriously the Tanner family history is so tragic this might as well be a dumbed-down Russian novel.

I was just thinking that. It would be something if DJ's husband died in a drunk driving accident.

As long as the dead husband isn't Steve, I'm okay with it. I can't deal with dead Steve.

I'm guessing they want to pander to the mainstream audience so he will have been a soldier killed in Iraq or something.

This is gonna be turrible.

Considering DJ has a different last name then Steve, I don't think we have to worry about him being dead.

Well, the original show was hardly that good to begin with, this can't be any worse. And John Stamos is producing; the S stands for "quality."

Someboy e-mail that writer and tell him what "reboot" actually means.
If you tell them that, it won't do much.
Spider-Man's reboot (the comics) was renewing his titles and starting from number 1, but continuing the timeline. And for 16 years that remains considered a reboot.

I'll check out the first episode and go from there

That's where I'm coming from. It's not like a "Oh, they'll never touch the greatness of the original" kind of thing, but rather a "The original didn't age well at all, so what the **** is this nonsense?" response.

It's crazy to think that the Olsen Twins would even consider joining.
