Game Awards 2021

Surprised he said this much.
You gotta please your sponsors etc so im surprised he in the end said this.

But yeah, he handled this really bad...especially if Ubisoft shows up at the show.

As much as i understand the whole idea of "We want to focus on the good"...thats not cutting it in 2021.
Call out and take action against abusers for christ sake.

Like I've said elsewhere, he was never going to bite the hand that feeds him, not unless refusing to do so would cost him more. And since on average the video game customer base is at *best* indifferent to corporate behavior that doesn't directly harm their personal enjoyment? There is no chance that "refusing to comment" will actually hurt the VGA. For every audience eyeball that would actually refuse to give them clicks and attention, there is probably another who will specifically tune in because "Sexual harassment is awesome, you show them Bobby!"

Nothing will change until people are actually willing to forgo buying the latest new video game that they want. And as types of entertainment go, video games seem to have the customer base with the lowest sales resistance/tolerance for self-denial.

Probably a Kojima.... thing.

I hope we hear more about that James Bond game. Might still be a bit early but fingers crossed. Maybe something new from marvel too?

We have like 3 announced Marvel games + 2 games from confirmed developers. So I don't eXpect something completely unannounced.

- I don't eXpect any new game announcements from Sony and Microsoft.
- Maybe Capcom? Resident Evil game.
- I'd like Take Two (Rockstar) to surprise us but given how they botched the GTA trilogy remaster. I don't see anything major or another remaster announcement tomorrow.
- I don't see Ubisoft being included in this.
- Maybe EA?
- IO is still heavily supporting Hitman III so I don't eXpect anything.
- I guess WB could make a surprise Neatherrealm announcement.

I haven't been keeping up with the latest rumours but I just haven't read a lot of rumours for the supposed big reveals for this awards show.

That would be neat yeah.
Would like to see a new GOW Ragnarök Trailer...but im not holding my breath.

And i know im a clown for it, but i cross my fingers and hope that maybe WBM will at least tease the rumored second DC game they work on.

Other than that, im going into this completely blind expecting nothing.

Looking forward to this tonight and plan to watch it all live. Any idea what time it kicks off?

Not sure what to expect tonight but i hope to see more of Hogwarts Legacy, Suicide Squad (which is confirmed), and I too would love to get a look at the new James Bond game. Also was hoping for Starfield, but I don't think we'll see that until June.

Starfield I expect to be a major thing at next year's E3 ahead of release. Would be great to see something of Hogwarts Legacy tonight and it feels like that one could have a chance.

Agreed! The Hogwarts game feels like it's been in the works forever too. We still don't even have a specific 2022 release date for it.

If 2022 is in any way realistic then they should surely have something to show by now. Otherwise might be looking at a delay.

In case anyone else needs to know I found this:

Maybe a trailer for BioShock 4?

With the success of GotG, hoping to see Eidos Montréal reveal a trailer for their third Deus Ex game. :sly:

Ha, either/both of those would be great. Can't imagine what a modern Bioshock might look like.

Telltale Expanse did I see? (watching cricket and playing Halo multiplayer at same time so not properly concentrating yet lol).

I didn't realise they gave away a bunch of awards even before the start.

Damn, after 18 years a new Homeworld?!

Oh snap! Trailer for...

Quantic Dream's SW game leaked!

Giancarlo looking good.

Kena wins best indie.
