Gasoline Shortage -- arg!

try living in Asheville, NC right now. :o I drove through there a couple days ago and the lines were so ridiculous they had to have cops directing traffic through the pumps.

Yea I know all about the shortage in Asheville, I live in Charlotte,NC and its the same way with the police and everything.

Gas seems pretty ok in Detroit.

-TNC

It's just the Southeast that's affected right now due to hurricane damage to the Texas refineries and pipelines that supply the gas to this area.

...At least, that's what we're being told. Conspiracy theories abound.

My Aunt from NC just asked me about this. My cousin was looking for a place to get gas. I am in NJ and things are okay here, I even found a gas station charging $3.05 per gallon. That still isn't cheap, but less expensive than the rest of the country.

Yeah, they had that going on here (Augusta, Ga) too.

There's a decent amount of gas now. Most of the QT stations have been getting trucks in every day, so it looks like the worst is over around here.

I sure hope we don't go through this here. I drive 74 miles round trip to work 5 days a week. If we have a shortage here it looks like I'll be missing a lot of work. I may have to double my efforts to find a job that pays the same as I make now, but closer to home.
