It's on TBS now. I haven't seen the movie in a LONG time. It's still pretty good. :o But, man, a lot has changed in 10 years. Example:

Brendan Fraiser
1997: A star
2008: A nobody

Leslie Mann
1997: Cute actress who always played "the girlfriend"
2008: The angry wife who curses a lot in Knocked Up

Thomas Haden Church
1997: Nobody knew his name. He was just associated with his character on Wings.
2008: Is remembered as the dude from Sideways and Spidey 3 who was on Wings

:o

John Cleese was awesome as the ape. :woot:

Maybe Brendan will succeed to make his comeback with the third Mummy.

Leslie Mann
1997: Cute actress who always played "the girlfriend"
2008: The angry wife who curses a lot in Knocked Up
That seems to be all she's been playing the last couple years, a chick who's angry or just straight up b*tchy.

It's kind of funny how Leslie Mann and Thomas Haden Church went on to bigger and better things and the only worthwhile thing Fraser did after this was "The Mummy".

From "George of the Jungle":

Leslie Mann went on to marry Judd Apatow and was in his two movies, "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up".

Thomas Haden Church went on to get awards for "Sideways" and played Sandman in "Spider-Man 3".

Brendan Fraser made "The Mummy", which was good. Then he made "Dudley Do-Right", "The Mummy Returns", "Monkeybone", and "Looney Tunes: Back in Action".

in it's defense monkey bone wasn't THAT bad, also doesn't brendan fraiser have a new movie coming out?

Yeah. "The Mummy III". Oscar gold, I say.

I feel bad for Frasier. The guy has talent...he just is horrible at choosing roles. He needs a new agent.

Used to love this movie, but now I wouldn't say I like it.

I feel really bad about liking two minutes of this movie. 'Cause it's bad. It's really, really, really bad.

But still, I love that shot near the end where George is running, and it pulls out to a wideshot of him running along a cliffside with some amazingly beautiful African scenery in the background. Makes me wish we could get another Tarzan movie.

He's got a movie coming out in Feburary that I've heard really good word about.

Also he's in about three-four movies this year! So I'm pretty sure this year will mark his come-back.

He was in GOds and Monsters which was really good. Also in Crash which one Oscars, and he seems like hes going to play an action hero a little more since he has Inkheart and Journey to the Center of the Earth coming soon in addition to the Mummy movies, which he is really good in no matter how good the movie is.

ah, life...

i loved this movie! the voice of one of the little monkeys was also the voice of abu in aladdin.

I liked the second one with Julie Benz.

Loved George of the Jungle

Brendan Frasier may be one of my favorite actors period. I just enjoy watching him on screen. I recently saw his few appearances on Scrubs - and I realized how much I miss his movies.

If Shazam ever gets made, Frasier v. The Rock would be awesome.

I dig it--Fraiser seems to be one of the few actors that can be both a legit action star while still being hilarious at the same time.

I love this movie. I remember going to movies to see it. I hate the ape though. He moves funny.
