George Takei Wants to Unite Star Wars Fans and Star Trek Fans in War Against Twilight

Well, Twilight doesn't have Carrie Fisher in a metal bikini, does it guys?
It was made for girls so the question is, does Star Wars have shirtless Edward and Jacob? :cwink:

Hey Star Wars has many hot men that i enjoy watching. Note i said men, not boys :cwink: :oldrazz: :hehe:

I'm a huge SW fan but i've never really been involved in the whole Star Wars vs Star Trek fighting btw, dont really see the point; to each their own i say. Even if i've never really gotten into ST i say the more sci-fi the better.

I'd rather have the hot blue Twi'lek Jedi chick.

Ok, let's talk George Takei first..he's got a bit of cheek considering *all* of the Star Trek films(tos, tng and the reboot) are pretty crappy, with some good bits here and there throughout the films...none of them come close to the quality of ep IV and V of Star Wars, both of whoich are classic movies that do reach that level of high art imo.

and superhero films? Captain America is just a bit of fluff, that movie should have been like Raiders of the Lost ark for superheroes(but even Spielberg has only made two other films as good as that one, Jaws and Empire of the Sun), as was it was no better than most other average sh films like XMOWolverine, FF2, IM2, Thor, X-Men3, the 89-95 Batman films, Superman III, the Blade trilogy....you might prefer it because you like the character though, and you just want to see the old story brought to life with no surprises.

There are very few sh films that I would say hit the note of high art, Unbreakable is one, the Dark Knight maybe, although it flounders in the third act, but Nolan might finally get to masterpiece level like Unbreakable with the third movie.

Only 2 other good films??? What about Duel, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, E.T., Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, & not to mention all the other hits he produced??? You've just lost all credibilty. :o

Well, there was a shirtless Hayden Christiansen. :woot: That and Ewan McGreggor was pretty hot. Oh and who can forget about Han Solo? But the coolest guy in the Star Wars universe is hands down Boba Fett, well the theatrical cut Boba Fett with Jeremy Bullock's voice. As a Whovian I have to support Mr. Bullock's line delivery because he did appear in a Jon Pertwee era episode, which also happened to be the first appearance of Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith.

I'm a guy, but seriously, Harrison Ford as Han Solo is hotter than both Edward and Jacob put together, shirtless or not. :o

You didn't read my post correctly. I said that Jaws and Empire of the Sun were the only movies he had made that were as good as Raiders, that were in that masterpiece class.
In my opinion, lest we forget people can actually have different ones on art that are just as valid.

I'm a big STAR WARS and STAR TREK fan......never had to fight myself because of it. Saw no reason to fight others about it.

George Takei is just trying to stay relevant.

It's working!

And They did try a shirtless Boba Fett. It didn't work out so good.

But it's not the majority. I know a ton of people who love Twilight, but none of them never camped in front of a premiere, tattooed themselves, or asked Robert Pattinson to bite them. Most even admit that it's crap...but for them, it's a guilty pleasure. And they think those wacko fans are out of their minds too.

The books and movies, on the other hand...are just rancid.

then i would say your lucky, 99% of the twihards i've met and have read about are completely bat **** for the insane franchise. and not fanboy crazy but really you have a problem crazy

let alone all the storys of fans physically attacking others over the story

That would be fun to watch though :oldrazz:

The people i know that likes twilight (and they are many) behaves like with the Transformers movies and other blockbusters, they like the movies, think they are good, like the characters, think they are good movies and that the story is great, never finding any plot holes.

Well, in least they're not twihards or complete freaks, they just behave like that for these successful movies
