GIFS in avatars

How come I can't get GIFS to work as avatars? Is it something to do with my post count? Any help appreciated

I'm assuming that your gifs is too large.Your gifs has to be less than 20kb.If not, reduce the KB with some animation shop or the avatar request thread.
