Gold toilet stolen in Blenheim Palace burglary

A gold toilet that's is entitled America...yeah that's fitting. Especially since 2016. I'm sure Trump missed the implication when they offered him the toilet.

No one has made a post containing a "crapper" pun or some such?

The Hype disappoints as nowhere else.

Geez I hope they don’t have to hold on til they get it back.

I suppose it’s hard to hard to go back to a normal toilet if you’re used to gold

A second arrest was made in connection with the theft of an 18-carat gold toilet art installation at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Thames Valley Police said Tuesday they had arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle who was released.

After the Saturday theft of the fully functioning, solid gold toilet, a piece of art by the Italian artist Maurizio Catellan entitled “America,” police said they had arrested a 66-year-old man. However, they believe the lavatorial larceny was pulled off by a crew using at least two vehicles.

The theft left the palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with “significant damage and flooding.”

An official statement released by Blenheim Palace after the theft thanked the police for their “rapid and brave reactions,” adding that “we are saddened by this extraordinary event, but also relieved no one was hurt.”

Neither suspect has been charged or identified as the investigation continues.

The toilet, a satirical statement about excessive wealth, is valued at 1 million pounds ($1.25 million) and has not yet been recovered.

“America” was previously on display in a public restroom on the fifth floor of the Guggenheim Museum in 2016

so......it's a no.2 arrest..... :D
