No, this is not a thread about actors and celebrities that have died too young (although that would make an interesting topic). This is actually a thread about TV shows that, despite being very well made and very popular, were cancelled way before they should have been. Some of the shows on my list?

Arrested Development

Thundarr The Barbarian

Conan The Adventurer (The Animated Series)

Sledge Hammer

The A-Team (actually, this show had jumped the shark in Season 4, but they should have given the series a proper series finale in Season 5, or let it run for a 6th season and give the show a proper farewell then).

Blade: The Series

Dungeons & Dragons

The Flash

Hmmmmm . . . I think that's it, at least for now. I'll add more as I think of them.

Firefly and Freaks and Geeks are at the top of my list.

Here's one I forgot, He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe (2002).

I don't think Arrested ended too soon. They left on a high note, but honestly I don't think the characters had much more room for, well... development. I guess that's the point, but still, I'm glad it didn't become like ever other show these days that lasts for 8 seasons, but lost its spark after 3.

Whaaat?! lol it's cool that we got a neat ending showing how the Bluths really are in arrested development hahah but really, FOX didn't support the show at all. With the caliber of the AD crew they could have went at least 2 more great seasons easy.

My Name is Earl... I loved that show and was bummed when it got cancelled, and on a cliffhanger at that

"Freaks&Geeks", "Quantum Leap", "The Flash", "Angel" and "Eli Stone" are a few i can think of right now. I would also wouldn't mind seen a 3rd season For TTSCC(Terminator: The Sarah Connoe Chronicles).

NBC's Journeyman is top of my list. One of the best new sci-fi programs in recent years, watched by about 5 people. Well-written, well-acted and well shot; to put it bluntly, Journeyman was a better sci-fi show in 13 episodes than Heroes was in 4 seasons.

Also, Flight of the Conchord's ended a little too soon for my liking, but the quality was dipping somewhat in the second season, so I can atleast see why they didnt move forward with a third series.

WonderFalls. I thnk Fox cancelled it after 3 or 4 episodes. I was at least able to buy whole first season of 13 episodes on DVD.

iargee with Quantum Leap. i didn't like the ending of it. i also like jourany man i liked seven days it was time travel show. their was one called early ediiton. it last over hundeerd epsidoes. but they never give at a edning.

Both Fillion Vehicles

Firefly and Drive

HBO's Carnivale

Manimal really didn't get the send off it deserved either ;)

People here reminded me two more so i'll second them - "Kyle XY", "Early Edition"(I really loved this show) and i'll add - "Odyssey 5".

Kyle XY ended on a huge cliffhanger, and that pissed me off.
I would say JLU didn't last long enough. I could see so many stories being told in that universe that would have been awesome. I could have seen an entire season basing itself off of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Pushing Daisies is at the top of my list, along with:

Jericho
T:TSCC
Firefly
Deadwood
Invasion

CARNIVALE
By far the worst offender here.. was completely epic and amazing and was planned for only 3 seasons.. would the third season really have killed them? This will likely be the one show I look back on the most and wonder what could have been and where it could have gone.

Mind of the Married Man
A little known or watched HBO show, it doesn't ever get much mention. Though billed as a comedy- and it was quite funny- it was also very grounded and dramatic at times. Ended on a huge downer cliffhanger too. Really wanted to see where these characters would go.

Deadwood
Bla bla finish deadwood rant.

Rome
It's perfect, but it's only 2 seasons! I wanted more. WAY MORE!

Thief
Terriers
2 great FX shows.. shame they didn't get viewers.

Rubicon
on AMC.. nobody cares but me

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs
My favorite cartoon only lasted one short season! Based on the comic Xenozoic tales.. it had everything. Dinosaurs! Cars! Babes! Pirates! Robots! Adventure! Romance! More Dinosaurs!

Lucy Daughter of the Devil
Another great cartoon, hilarious, and starring Jon Benjamin (voice of Archer, several adult swim cartoons). This was dark and messed up and twisted, and it's short episodes always had a new intro and song. A show made for me. Sure, the animation was crap, but the scripts and voice actors more than made up for it.

Firefly
Drive
Nathan Fillion rocks. It makes me sad that his most successful and currently running show is the one which is the most normal and not for me. I want action and sci fi damnit.

Kings - A show like this should've had more than one season. You had alot of great actors here and a wicked concept that was based on the biblical story of David and Saul. Ian McShane was just incredible and he had some great dialogue!

Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron

The Tick (live action version)

Brimstone
Odyssey 5
and I can't remember if it was cancelled before it was 'complete' 'cos I don't really remember the ending or anything but - First Wave.

There isn't so much I could think of but "Flight of the Conchords" is one, but Bret and Jermaine was exhausted of the process of the show and such, it's a great show nonetheless.
