better than Robert Downey"put me in every damn movie" JR
Sandra Bullock is playing the leading character, but you lose interest when George Clooney is cast?My interest in Gravity just bombed.
I don't know what it is, but I have a hard time watching any film with George Clooney and help but think "Hey, that's George Clooney."
Michael Clayton, Up In The Air, (insert Clooney film here), he just doesn't do it for me anymore.
I read an interview with Clooney a few years ago where he basically said he does the Oceans movies for a paycheck, so that he can afford to do the smaller films for no money, or something like that (he was referring to stuff like Syriana and Good Night and Good Luck at the time). So yeah, for this one, he may actually be relatively cheap.and Clooney will be cheap?
Haha, my thoughts exactly. Anyway, I don't care who's in this - it's Cuaron in space, which means my a** is in the seat already.Sandra Bullock is playing the leading character, but you lose interest when George Clooney is cast?

SOURCEWhats next, post-Potter?
Im doing a TV film with David Hare, and Ive got Gravity, which we start shooting in May with Alfonso Cuaron, and hopefully Ive got The Curious Case Of The Dog In The Night Time with Steve Kloves, and Im just waiting for him to deliver a script. Ive been waiting for a long time! But Im hoping thatll come soon! And then therell be other things.
I wish they would have gotten Julianne Moore or someone like Naomi Watts instead. Bullock does nothing for me.
I can't wait to see that 20 minute long take. Tracking shots are my kryptonite.
Yes! Some of my favorite scenes are the long takes from Children of Men. That alone would make me want to at least rent this movie.
Heyman: I’m doing Gravity with Alfonso Cuaron, which starts the end of May. Which is great. The whole film has been pre-vised and figured out, it’s ****in’ awesome. I mean, unlike anything you’ve seen in space. It’s just great. He’s a privilege to work with—he’s a real visionary.
Are you guys filming in America, London?
Heyman: U.K.
I’m assuming there’s a lot of soundstage work.
Heyman: Yes. A huge amount of soundstage work.
Have you guys talked about doing the project in 3D?
Heyman: Yeah, it will be 3D.
Are you guys filming in 3D?
Heyman: No.
It used to be, people would get very upset when they heard that. But I’ve seen post-conversion that looks really good.
Heyman: And actually, we did some tests. Because this film is being made almost entirely digitally, a huge amount of it’s being made digitally. 3D felt like a really organic—because so much of it’s being done digitally, you can make the 3D in a post process much more easily than if you were shooting all live-action or sitting in a room.
Update from the producer David Heyman. I'll just summarise it, filming starts at the end of May in UK, there's a lot of soundstage work involved and the movie will not be shot in 3D but it will be post-converted to 3D.
