For me, it's 1999. It was the first year that I really got into the whole summer movie phenomenon. I was 11 years old, so The Phantom Menace and Austin Powers were pretty big for me that summer.

Independence Day stands out the most. It was just a really iconic movie and still is for me. I was a major X-Files nerd back then and still am. 90s ruled.

    You forgot to vote.

For me it was 1993, prior that year I had only seen mainly Disney films in theaters along with Hook, Ninja Turtles and the Home Alones. I had to watch all the big films on VHS either from renting (Terminator 2, Dick Tracy) or getting to own (Batman, Robin Hood).

So to go from a handful of films, mainly animated, to Jurassic Park was something else. I actually saw Last Action Hero first, and that was my first experience with a sold out show. Huge lineup just to buy tickets, packed theater, I was just with my dad. JP had been out for a few weeks when I saw it and it was amazing, one of the most memorable movie going experiences. Top that off with The Fugitive, which is still great to this day.

From that year on I payed attention more to what films were coming out, either from trailers or reading magazines to see what was in development or coming soon. I followed all of the Batman Forever news as best I could in 1994/1995.

My main disney film is Aladdin. Didn't know there was a poll lol, surfing the mobile version. Also my first rated R was AIR FORCE ONE. First PG-13, at home due to some very awesome cousins, was Ace Ventura.

Jurassic Park was THE summer event film of the 90s. I have to vote 1993.

My parents felt like I wasn't old enough to see it when it came out in theaters. I was devastated. I had to settle for watching "Free Willy" at the movies instead. You know what it's like to be a 5 year old boy and have your parents tell you you're not allowed to see a movie about DINOSAURS? It's like saying, "Hey, Christmas is cancelled. Also, we're not celebrating your birthday again. Oh, and here's a punch in the face. Enjoy that." The wait for that one to come out on video was excruciating.

1999 gets my vote. Star Wars mania restarted, and wether u liked it or hated it it was an event to experience for sure.

October 4, 1994. I remember that well as my younger brother was born four days later but we watched it the night before. Plus the anticipation for it to come out just on VHS was huge, probably the most anticipated of all time.

Well 20 years later you can finally see it on the big screen when its' out in 3D next summer.

Quality-wise, 1994 was the best. We got Speed and True Lies within the same summer. Plus, The Lion King and Jim Carrey's The Mask. And as a bonus, "children classics" like The Little Rascals and Angels in the Outfield (starring a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

A 16 month wait? Holy ****, that is just unreasonable. I don't remember it being that long.
