So their was an article that says Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) will not only not be in Justice League, pt.1....But, might not even be in Justice League, pt.2. If that's true. We won't see him until the possible Green Lantern Corps movie in 2020.

That's a minimum of 4yrs from now. So why not let him be in Arrow, Flash or Legends of Tomorrow??

Nothing about DC's TV/film policy makes sense.

Katana and Flash can appear on both TV and in the films, but Deadshot, Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn, etc. can't.

Superman can appear on Supergirl, but only apparently in blur-o-vision or just outside the frame.

They've referenced Hal multiple times but I would be surprised if they actually let him appear. It's a shame, too, because Hal has had many iconic stories with both Ollie and Barry.

i think he's coming VERY soon

Hal's best friends each have their own shows. He's coming :)

Nothing would make me happier. Not only is he one of my favorite characters, but the rich history between both Hal/Barry and Hal/Ollie would make him the perfect character to be the third pillar of the CWverse

I think a lot of fans have this idea that Hal Jordon taught Oliver how to fly a plane and that is still possible. Maybe he get struck in Russia and he teach him or something

The fact any Green Lantern isn't showing up in the DCEU until the reboot to me says they should just let the characater appear on Arrow. The character needs some repairing in live action after the last film bombed so a good interpretation on TV can actually go a long way in helping people forget that. I say let it happen WB/DC after all you're having simultaneous Flash's in the movie and TV universe at the same time. So having a GL appear on Tv when you don't even have a film version makes sense.

Hell no. Marc Guggenheim and his ilk have already ****ed Green Arrow up. This show at it's present state will probably further damage the character's image with the general audience.

I tweeted both the Flash & Arrow writers. Probably won't see it let alone respond. But, if others ask. Maybe, they will.

Totally agree. Especially since Barry Allen is appearing not only in JLA part one but also in Batman Vs Superman which is only 3 weeks away... and him having his own show does t seem to be a problem I don't get why Hal Jordan can't appear since it looks like we won't see the green lantern Corps until jla part 2

You know that script was butchered right? The original script wss very good for Green Lantern it was the rewrites that turned it into what it was.

Exactly

It was the same writers throughout it, though. Berlanti, Green, and Guggenheim were all in on the project from the beginning and re-wrote the script 3 times. As I understand it, they finalized the script before Berlanti was replaced as director, and that director kept the final (3rd rewrite) script.

You also need to take into account on-the-set rewrites because the actors feel that the character isn't "them". Yes, this is a thing.

I doubt this changes anything, re: whether the CW can use Green Lantern. Just because the movies aren't using him yet, doesn't mean they don't still hold veto. After all, they weren't allowed to use Ted Kord either, and his movie prospects were even more distant and uncertain when the decision was made.

If you want a character repaired you definitely don't send them over to the cwverse where spotty and inconsistent writing is abound.

I think that's a bit too harsh. Yes, they are a bit inconsistent but overall, if you look at three and half Seasons worth of writing, they have done a very good job with all the good guys. Villains, I'd agree should have been better but they are nowhere as bad as some of the other shows that have come before it in terms of writing.

LOL, look at the poster that just came out. If GL came on Arrow Felicity would end up using his ring and being better at it than him because her crazy fans demand ... everything.

Come on. Oliver, Thea, and Diggle got posters at the beginning of this season. Felicity didn't. (Neither did Laurel but that's neither here nor there.) This poster doesn't bother me. Yeah, they're putting a ton of focus on Felicity and it's super-annoying. In this case, though, it's not that big a deal in comparison to the biggest problem: the writing surrounding her character. And let's be honest: they only used that poster to use the "Overwatch" pun they've been dying to.

I saw this post on reddit...Yup i see this happening....

The Heroes and other support characters are the ones who get the worst/most inconsistent writing of all, which if brought on, would include GL/Hal.

Come on nothing, she just neutered another hero. She is holding Mr. Terrific's testicles err T-Sphere in her hand.

The butchers his script, they lost a lot of goodwill with Berlanti over that cause they kept timing stuff down and adding new stuff.

It's not about repairing it's about creating some goodwill for the character which has happened for many characters on the CW.

I really don't understand how we can have fricking SUPERMAN shown on Supergirl, and the god damn JOKER and BRUCE WAYNE shown on Gotham yet they feel that using Hal Jordan would confuse people? It makes no sense especially since Barry Allen has his own show and his movie is several ears before Green Lantern Corps. And they think it's some kind of liability to have Hal as a guest star?

I also think they are highly overestimating the size of the CW-verse audience and how it could possibly even effect the general movie going audience

I think Geoff Johns is scared Marc Guggenheim will kill off Hal Jordan and the Guardians and make Felicity Smoak the leader of the GLC. That's why there isn't a GLC show.

We had the blurriest of back shots for a split second with him saying nothing, that really isn't him showing up, that is them skirting WB regulations to try and include him the best they can. As for Jerome he is prejoker so its all good, the same goes for bruce (he is also protected by the main character clause)

When we get Green Lantern on film it will be all the sweeter because of the thirst for him, assuming it's done well this time. WB knows this.
