I was wondering if they ever went the whole nine yards and not only include superpowers but aliens as well wouldn't it be cool to have Green Lantern make an appearance and be a Batman/Superman duo for some episodes, like Green Arrow and Clark in "Smallville"? I think it'd be great, especially with their team up series in the comics.

It would be cool to have a Hal/Barry team up on Flash, and a GL/GA team up on Arrow.

However, I doubt the CG budget could pull it off.

yeah, GL and Flash would be a lot of CG for a live action show, I'm fine with the inevitable Flash/Green Arrow team-ups, should be pretty sweet.

Adapting the Green Arrow-Green Lantern storylines from the comics would be awesome. That said, that would have to be an older and more experienced Ollie than the one we have now. Maybe around season 5 or 6 he'll be ready for it. By then TV graphics may have gotten good enough to where they can do Green Lantern without it looking cheesy.

Well I think the could easily bring in Hal into either show.

As far as GL if Geoff Johns wrote the episode and he convinced the producers to make it the 2 hour episode/movie like he did in Smallville. Then I could see actually Green Lantern Flash and Green Arrow be on the program with powers and the cg

Ehhh, Hal sure, just not as some green lantern. I like the some what realistic take on the arrow verse

I feel Green Lanterns costume itself would cost too much if they were to actually try nd include the reynolds version.

I'd be fine with Hal, but not Green Lantern.

It'd be really cool to see Hal Jordan pop up in Arrow. They had some interesting story-lines that could be cool to see adapted in live action.

I wouldn't object to him being GL. Maybe just keep him using the ring on Earth to a minimum, and not do anything too outlandish with it... Which, I mean, it's Hal Jordan... So it's not going to be anything too outside the box anyways.

Hey, why not at this point. Arrow's the best live DC adaptation, IMO.

I guess if they have "plans" for another GL movie, I could understand them not wanting to... But I just don't see them jumping to make a GL movie anytime soon, especially with Hal Jordan. So, having Hal on the show might not be that bad of an idea. I think if they do another GL for film they will most likely use John Stewart.

I really think they might eventually get there at some point. I think around maybe season 3 or 4 would be the earliest though.

They've introduced Flash already. The Flash!! It wouldn't surprise me at all if they intro GL next season. That'd be pretty great. He needs live action redemption.

Hal or Carol showing up would be cool, maybe Jon as an old army buddy of Dig or Kyle as an old friend of Felicity, but pass on GL though, even if they pull off a half decent SFX'd Lantern.

Flash is already a stretch as it is, but an intergalactic cop armed with a ring that materializes thoughts is way out there for this show.

Staaaaaahp. Don't you see the direction the show is heading? They are progressively introducing more outlandish concepts. And Flash (in the same universe) is most likely going to feature some characters that are just as silly as GL. Introducing GL now would seem weird, yeah. But I'm guessing by season 3 things are going to be a lot crazier than they have been in season 1 and 2... Season 2 already is introducing some crazy stuff that probably wouldn't fly in season 1.

Doing GL on a tv budget is the real problem. I'm happy with just a simple Hal Jordan or John Stewart appearance though.

The CW is trying to build a DCU on tv. GL is a perfect fit since they probably can't use WW, Bats or Supes

To be honest I don't want it to go that outlandish, the show has created a great setting for it's characters, I don't see the need to wash over it. Keep the aliens and cosmic in the movies, use the other dozens of DC characters that fit in this setting without undermining it.

The sad thing is that WB has shown it doesn't know how to handle the cosmic side in the movies.

I think it would be pretty difficult. Unless it's just a Jon Stewart or Hal Jordan pre-ring, it won't happen.

There's two problems:

1) The Green Lantern concept is much further out there than Mirakuru (which may have actually existed for all we know) and even super speed science experiments (which aren't actually on arrow). If Arrow continues to get more and more outlandish, where aliens become very natural feeling supporting characters, sure, but that may take several years.

2) The CGI necessary to make Green Lantern work is absolutely not available. To do it more than a few seconds without looking cheesy requires money a TV show like this simply doesn't have. Even if technology improves over the next couple years, what looks cheesy will also improve over the next couple years. What was cutting edge in 1990s films is so affordable for TV now, but now it looks cheesy.

Now having GL's guest star could be interesting, but I wouldn't want to be the guys who introduce aliens into the DCCWU.

I think the introduction of the Flash has opened the flood gates to all things "way out there". It's not as if he's just some Olympic runner, he's a full-blown running faster than sound/light kinda guy.

The Flash is comparatively more grounded than Green Lantern. The introduction of the Miracle Formula has opened us up to the possibility of humans gaining extraordinary powers through extraordinary means. In a world where such a thing is possible, I think the Flash (someone who runs very fast) is a bit easier to swallow than Green Lantern (an intergalactic police officer who can summon constructs out of a magic ring) at this time.

I suppose, but superpowers are a slippery slope. If you've got a guy who can move faster than a speeding bullet(at the very least), why not go all the way? That's already beyond the realm of possibility.

Because "going all the way" doesn't always make sense within the context of the story being told. That's not to say that introducing Green Lantern can't work, ever; just not right now (IMO). And I feel like it'll be a while before we get to that point.

You know who would be absolutely PERFECT for Hal Jordan on tv? Jensen Ackles...

Do it CW. Do it!!!
