Guitar Hero Question

So my fiance played Guitar Hero III for about two hours the other night while waiting with me to get my PS3 and 15 free Blu-ray movie deal last Saturday. She said that it would make a good gift for her sometime so of course I went ahead and got it for x-mas.

Anyway, I was wondering if Guitar Hero 1 and 2 (the bundle pack) will play on the PS3 (80 Gigs) using the same PS3 Guitar Hero 3 guitar. I know some of the backwards compatible games are funny on the PS3 and want to know if the GH 1&2 bundle pack will play okay or not.

Also, what would be the best guitar to get if I wanted another so I could do the co-op with her?

Currently, there are no options for a second guitar with the PS3 version of GH3. Next year Activision will start selling the Les Paul controllers ala carte, but for now, if you want to own a second guitar in either GH3 or Rock Band, your only option is to pay through the nose on eBay for one that's been de-bundled.

oh that sucks. So what about the Guitar Hero 1 and 2 combo pack PS2 game. Will it play on the 80 Gig PS3 okay or does it have issues like some of the backwards compatible games. And of course, does the PS3 guitar work for the Guitar Hero 1 and 2 combo pack PS2 game?
