Halle Berry's Kidnap

So it's The Call without phones?

If this had a grindhouse aesthetic like a 70s revenge film i could get behind it but this looks too polished and meh.

Depending on the weekend I'd probably watch it. I liked the Call and I Love the first Taken so I'm sure I'll be mildly entertained by it.

Why wasn't this released around Mother's Day? Anyway, seems like a interesting film, certainly makes me want to strap a concealed knife on my son and make sure he knows how to use that ****.

Looks like the movie will be getting a theatrical release after all in Belgium on May 17 and The Netherlands on May 18 (:yay:). I'm confident that they are sticking with those dates because i saw the trailer in front of Shyamalan's SPLIT last week.

Here's the official poster and tagline...:hehe:

Nice tag line.

Shoutout to the flipping car.

well sh**, according to wiki, it's going to be a direct to video release in the summer.

I totally forgot this existed.

The producers tried to get it out of Relativity's hands last year but they got funding and released The Disappointments Room and Masterminds. Both didn't make much so Relativity are on the edge of collapse again.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) is a big name producer. Shame he can't get out the of the Relativity deal.

The movie is out digitally so here's my review...

Absolutely hilarious. From Halle Berry's overacting and her character constantly making dumb decisions to the kidnappers who are terrible at their job... to even the hilarious background characters, it's got all the ingredients you need for a bad movie. What's also interesting about this is that it doesn't waste any time getting into Halle Berry chasing after the kidnapers. It's pretty much one long chase scene with car crashes, people getting flipped over, and so on. Overall, this movie should be seen by everyone who loves a good bad movie.
2/10

So has this movie come out today? Wikipedia says it was released in the US today.

I was thinking about going to see this tomorrow while my Jeep is in the shop. It might be more stress than I can handle right now.
