Hey guys, thought i'd start a thread for halloween..

you dressing up? what are your plans? who are you going as?

majority of you know im working on a Hulkling costume... my hairs almost grown out perfectly, and just won a hulk costume to use the torso and arms for hulklings... i won it for $16 ($25) with shipping.. thought it was a pretty good deal considering it prob would have been about $40 at a halloween store

Ill be using latex paint for my hands and face...

im currently looking for fake earings and a vest...as well as cheap leather looking pants... boots will probably be the easiest things to find...

and i was wondering if anyone had tips for me to try to find or make a head piece for a Wiccan costume... it looks like this...

i need the tight fitted head covering.. as well as the part that covers his forehead

Well, this isn't so different from my Gambit headpiece I had several years ago. All we did was go to a fabric store and buy a piece of extremely strechy black material. The trick is to cut the face mask smaller then it is going to be on your face so when it stretches it becomes tight fitted. Now, you also need to sew a flexible piece of wire into the outside rim of the face hole, and your local costume store should have some double sided skin safe tape. Just use that to keep the flaps adhered to your skin. Make sure you buy a bunch of extra fabric. It isn't science. There's gonna be alot of trial and error to get the face hole to fit properly. Good luck man!!!

damn... i was hoping it would be something easier.. cuz i cant sew worth crap.. lol i can glue gun like a pro though :)

If I do dress up I'm being a book. I'm going to strap bookends to the sides of my head.

I was going to suggest pretty much the same thing for the Wiccan head piece.....It's really all I can think of.........I'll le tyou know if I think of something else.

My Riddler costume is pretty much sunk...I actually got a nice Green Jacket that fits great...It's a little darker than I had hoped....but It works nicely enough....I couldn't find any matching pants.....I've got nowhere to go on Haloween anyway.....Unless things work out....then I'll have to scramble.

hmmm... well i suppose you could bleach it till its pure white.. then dye it the shade of green you want?

Well I could have used a black one for that.......Is that as easy as it sounds?

What's a Head sock?

If it's what I think it might be you could cut out the face part but I think you would still need the wire in it to hold it's shape.....I could suggest a hanger instead....but it would still require some sewing.

dunno... never tried.. but it sounds like it'd work... you'd probably have to bleach it a couple times though... i suppose theres always a chance it could come out tie die looking... but its worth a try

I could just buy the matterial and get one custom made......I could but the material and make a basic version my self..........yes yes I can sew...So what?

heas socks are used in sports.. skiers use cotton ones.. id probably have to use a racing head sock, because its much thinner... id cut the top of the head out so hair could stick through.. then cut the lower part of the face so the chin sticks out.. then a slit for each ear...

Yeah...that might be hard cause even then it wouldn't stay up cause you cut the top off....the head is what holds it up.......So now I'm thinking more wire....One shaped to the wearers head to hold it up.

So the wire would run around the top so that it stays up...and around the face so it stays out.

I think when it's said and done the thing should support itself even when not on a head.......I might make one....i kind of want to try it now.

i'd pay ya for it, as long as its not gonna be hella expensive... its not for me.. but who i'm hoping will be wiccan.. i was thinking the big head band thing on his forhead could be used to keep it up... i just wouldnt know what the hell to make that out of

i could def see it.. but i don't think she has her personality... kitty always came off as the shy type to me... plus bynes doesnt look jewish to me

hmmmmm.......I'm gonna look through my YA comics and my Wiccan figure.....see what I might be able to whip up.......though I;ve enver gotten myself a succesful Roughneck Mask....and that should be easy.

Kitty doesn't do anything Jewish...>I think Bynes would have kicked more ass than that chick that looks like Joss Whedon.
