The dino has been a part of the Batcave for a heck of a long time, since at least the 50's, along with the giant penny and giant Joker playing card.

Does anybody know why Batman keeps that giant dinosaur in the cave? Did it just show up in a new issue or did one of the criminals use it as a weapon and now he keeps it as a trophy? I've been curious about that since the first time I saw it, it seems so out of place.
