If you gotten this game for christmas, or if you ever played it, may god bless your soul and heal your wounds.

My dad was a victim of this incident. He got it for christmas in the year 1982, and man, was he angry, lol, i'm guessing you havent played it. But this game is seriously, i'm not being sarcastic, soo bad, they burried 500 thousand cartiges of ET for the Atari 2600 in the deserts of New Mexico.

before my time. and it's kind of common knowledge of that games badness.

Edit: I'm a drunken *****e.

Harumph.

i don't disagree with the minimum posts idea, but i didn't see anything terribly wrong with his grammar and/or punctuation. i mean, it was readable.

more so than quite a few seasoned posters i've seen here, anyway.

LMFAO!

Oh man that game used to piss me off. Assembling that stupid phone machine. AARRGH... I can still feel the frustration. :cmad:

I played that game when I was 4. It's my only regret in life:csad:

And this is why, not only should there be a restriction on the amount of posts you need before you are allowed to post a thread, but there should also be a basic grammar/punctuation test too, with a minimum pas mark of 80%.

Harumph.

A few years back I bought an old system at a yard sale that included 8 games . Out of the eight games there were two never even bothered to play ,Strawberry Shortcake and Et. I bet Strawberry Shortcake or whatever it was called was more fun .

I had ET for the Atari 2600. It was one of the most frustrating games for the Atari. There were a lot of crappy games for the 2600.

Ah so this is what would be discussed if the internet at had been around in the 80's.

Nothing is worse than Superman

Although Berserker on the Atari kicked arse.

I got that game for Christmas when I was 8. My mother still hasn't forgiven my aunt for buying it for us.

She made us turn the sound off whenever we played it, because of the tapping noise the game made when ET walked. I also remember that sometimes the sound got stuck on one note of the ET theme and just played continuously until we reset the game.

It's so weird how far technology has come in such a short time.

I mean, just think, when we're 90 years old we'll be saying "I remember when it was IMAX this & PS3 that".

I had a 2600 but thankfully I was never hit with the travesty known as E.T.

Oh how games have moved on since then

I had an Atari 2600 but I do not have memories of playing this game. So I guess that must be a good thing

I love classic gaming systems/games, but this game is a hell on earth.
I'll still probably buy a copy if I come across one though, because I am that big of a geek when it come to classic gaming. I just can't say no.
