It's a very interesting read. I know there are a lot of folks who followed this movie for two years and contributed to the various boards, who have just given up and aren't really anywhere to be seen anymore. I myself even stopped caring and stopped visiting the boards.... but then I heard about the Midget Jazz thing and that just riled me up.

I also know Murphy (or his mods) will take over a noobs account if he rants and they'll make fake posts on his behalf in order to make him look like an idiot by baiting the other folks or otherwise doing something that begs to be banned. I know because it happened to me.

Over at shootfortheedit... you have to walk VERY LIGHTLY lest you diss Michael Bay too hard and get banned by Nelson. What's funny about Nelson is that he's got a big mouth... and will admit crap I'm sure Bay never wanted advertised (such as him not wanting to do the movie until Hasbro offerred a cut of the toy sales). One rant is one rant too many for Nelson (which is funny... because obscenity filled, you guys are 'f*gg*ts, pro-Bay rants don't get you banned).

I sincerely doubt they'll be able to drown out the bad buzz. But, who knows. I think Murphy is downright obsessed with making the community look like idiots. It's sad.

thats intense to say the least...ive been following these boards for a while now and this don murphy is more than a character thats for shure...hell of a read there too, thanks for posting that

I dont hate Bay, hell i REALLY like his movies. I do hate some of his decisions. Flame paint job and midget jazz being the foremost. But im sure he will make an absolute kick ass action movie.

Murphy and his cronies on the other hand I have ZERO respect for him. I HAD respect for him making this movie happen, but recent events have made him look like such a ****ing *******.

Nelson from shootfortheedit.com is pretty much an idiot who posts anti-G1 comments and pro-bay-kiss-his-arse comments.

Can someone tell me if they have had any success actualy getting the idiot Murphy to listen for a sec instead of shouting out loud like a little 5 year old?

Well, for the most part he's been ignoring me unless he's signed under another nickname in his forums.

all i care is what im seeing so far........and what i see is good.

:D

Something tells me that fans are a bit angry at Murphy. Someone care to explain why?

You mean subjectively speaking of course.

Seeing a lunatic "producer" unload on a community can't be seen as good. Is there any precedent for this?

Well, I'm in a mixed state of emotions as to what I've been seeing. I'm a very hard to please type of person, but I do like the Autobots I've seen so far. I just have alot of issues with the Decepticons.

Quentin because Murphy (along with a way too self-aware Oliver Stone) ruined Natural Born Killers, which Quentin wrote. And they called Quentin a "one trick pony" in a book by one of Murphy's cohorts way back when.
(Something which IMHO Quentin has since disproved big time).

Everyone else because he bastardized and ruined Alan Moore's From Hell and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

im not sure what was worse From Hell or LXG.....

well......at least LXG was somewhat watchable....

From Hell was uwe boll worthy

To add to this:
I found this interesting... in a review of Don Murphy's cohort's (Jane Hamsher) book it says:
"For example, as a joke, they [Murphy and Hamsher] once sent a Tarantino-bashing letter to the LA Weekly purportedly written by another of their enemies, Tarantino partner Lawrence Bender. The stunt backfired when the letter was traced back to them."

Yup. That would be Murphy. Underhanded, devious, B.S. Artist to the extreme.

thats a confusing story.......

Sounded simple to me. They sent a letter to LA Weekly claiming to be Quentin's partner and deriding Quentin. The "joke" backfired when it was traced back to them.

This because Quentin didn't like what they did to his screenplay. Sounds mightly unprofessional to me. Although Quentin punchin Murphy in the mouth ain't much better... but its funny.

I just finished reading the write up, was an interesting read. All I can say is thank god for boards like this where freedom of speech is still respected. Things have definatly gotten a little out of hand with this movie. I do wonder though if Bay had anticipated this.

Do you really think that there are moles being filtered out amongst the internet to turn around the buzz on the film?

Do you think they are here - in our little haven?

...Im going to get my shotgun...

It seems consistent with the crap Don Murphy is pulling on his boards, taking over other peoples accounts and typing up bs to make it look like everyone is sucking his d**k. If he does it I cant see why there wouldn't be others doing it.
