When the surprise appearance of future Hiro at the end of this past weeks episode it brought a startling question to my mind.

Does this mean that New York is going to be saved?

Look at the evidence, Hiro states clearly that he is from the future. From his ability to speak English and his long ponytail that would take him months to grow, we can pretty much assume that all this took longer than five weeks (which is when New York will blow up).

Does this pretty much state that New York is going to be saved and there is a bigger threat now?

of coourse they will save it. it wont be much of a show if they fail

^ lol so true

for sure New York will be saved. im thinking he came to the past due to some sort of event after the 'save new from the Bomb' event, maybe some sort of season 2 type forshadow.

Maybe NY will be saved but something terrible happens because of what it took to save it. Something bad must have happened, other wise why would Hiro need to go back in time? We'll just have to see now wont we???

Maybe Future-Hiro comes from a time-line where the bomb went off, and he travelled back in time to prevent it from happening. Assuming there is no fate, no fate but what we make.

Actually, it might. Seeing how the world reacts to a city being wiped out by (presumably) the actions of a super human, and seeing the Heroes trying to insure that it doesn't happen again, could be interesting.

if sylar is infact behind it, maybe his plan is to turn the world into meta-humans. that blast turns people into meta-humans and then they are outed like mutants in x-men. and this causes a rift between humans and metas, and new york becomes a wasteland after the explosion. just a jumbled thought.

Doubtful. It seems more likely that his plan is to kill alot of people. A nuclea explosion wouldn't result in beneficial mutations for several decades afterwards, in the direct descendants of the survivors. And the number of such mutations would be so minor that it most definately would not turn the entire world into altered humans.

it happened in the first x-men. but that wasn't nuclear. plus we don't know its a nuclear explosion. if your look a the painting on isaac's floor it looks like a molten person with its arms raised and not an explosion at all. i guess i'm the only one that sees it.

I don't happen to think it was stopped, why would Hiro go back to the past unless he is trying to fix or insure things go right down the timeline.

The only reason why someone would go back in time is to fix mistakes or change what's happening in their present time.

I can't wait to see what they have instore! :woot:

Exactly. Besides, that just seems like a major leap.

It's pretty much definite that it is.

Looks like a mushroom cloud to me.

I was thinking New York isn't the only thing that will be destroyed, They keep emphasising saving the world.

All we see is NY being blown up we don't know for sure that the rest of the world isn't going with it.

I mean save the Cheerleader save the WORLD not just NY. :p
