I don't mean at dusk, I mean it's pitch black and you're driving around without them on. I did it maybe twice in my life, but I see people going for a long ass time with no lights on, I don't know if they're tipsy, they just forgot, or what. You can see, but not well.

I did a few times but I usually realize it within 3 or 4 minutes of driving.
Usually it starts with, "huh, tonight is darker than usual."
    And then *BOOM* I remember.

Heh, I did that once. I had my driver's liscense for maybe five hours and I was so nervous about driving right, I forgot about my lights. Well, I was pulled over by the police and given a warning, that's when I realized what I did. Last time I've ever done that. The ***** about it was, when he flashed his blue lights I didn't pull over right away because I couldn't see where to go. He thought I was running and he called for back-up, ten seconds after he flashed the blue lights.

Yup - just did it the other day. I was parked in a parking lot talking on my cell phone and I turned on ONLY my parking lights... when I hung up and started driving I must have gone 3 miles in full dark with only my parking lights on before I realized it.

Nope, but I always get scared when I see a police car nearby. I always check in the mirror to see if they want to pull me into the side, because I did something dumb.

Never forgotten. But, on a country road when there's a full moon, it's pretty neat.

It's happened to me once. Thought they were on because I was a in a very well lit area. Eventually realized I didn't have them on though.

AH HA HA that reminds me, my parents had an old van they gave to me for work when I was 16 and I couldn't figure out the lights as I was leaving, so had to hold the handle turned keeping brights on the ride home because I couldn't figure out how to turn reg lights on. So one hand steering and the other keeping brights turned. BWAH HA

Nope. Drive a manual volkswagen. The lights don't turn on unless I push the Emergency Brake down. And automatically turn when I pull it up.

I did once, a few years back. The parking lot was pretty well lit, so I noticed as soon as I hit the street.

I remember going somewhere one night when it was pretty dark, around this sharp curve that had no divider between the oncoming lanes, and this truck whizzed right past me, which I didn't realize until a second later because they didn't have their lights on. Not even the brake lights.

I always turn my lights on soon as I get into my car. I make a habit out of it. Even if it's the middle of the day, cause it still helps your visibility with them on.

I know most cars being made now just turn them on when you start it, and off when you turn the car off though, so in 20-30 years, it wont really even be an issue anymore.
