Hawkeye Hawkeye General Discussion Thread

So if this is true, does this make the Netflix shows canon in some way? Or are we looking at at a J.K Simmons Spider-Man: Far From Home like approach? Obviously with the ending to Loki, anything is possible at this point

I really don’t think it’ll be made clear either way if it’s the same Kingpin from Netflix Marvel, but I lean toward it just being a new version for the MCU proper.

I think the Multiverse will rearrange things so bits and pieces of the Netflix shows will be cherry picked
The Netflix characters don’t need a multiverse explanation for why they’re there. Just bring them in and either go with the previous versions or just soft reboot the characters with the some of the old
actors reprising the roles for a new version.

November 24 seems like a long wait from now, but at least there's a date.

And I don't think most people have these those netfliX shows anyway, so it wouldn't be a big deal to them.

I'm not a fan of keeping the netfliX verse, but at least I won't feel like I wasted all my time watching those shows now - if they are finally going to be acknowledged in the grander scheme of things. A lot ot the NetfliX episodes were such a slog to get through.

Not surprised Ms. Marvel is delayed. They need time for CGI I think.

it isn’t delayed yet - or did I miss an official announcement of Marvel?

Ms. Marvel didn't get a release date in the past. I think people were assuming it was going to come out 1st.

Who knows, that one could still be released in October or late September.

People were assuming that because the Disney Investor Day 2020 pdf doc had all the upcoming marvel movies/shows listed in release date order and Ms. Marvel was in between What If..? and Hawkeye. But it also had Black Widow slated for May and of course that got delayed. So it's possible it was originally supposed to come first but for whatever reason it's been delayed. If Ms. Marvel wasn't delayed, I don't see why EW would be ignoring it and focus solely on Hawkeye. Plus in the EW article, they refer to Hawkeye as the next live-action MCU show.

Well Hawkeye was initally announced first along with the 3 mcu shows that already premiered. So it makes sense why it should come out first.

And sure the logo of Ms. Marvel was in the middle between What If? and Hawkeye. They were in the "2021 series group", but I don't think Disney have said that left to right was going to be the order of release and no month was given for those shows in that presentation.

Actually that's exactly what they did lol. They didn't say specific dates but again in the presentation pdf for the Marvel Studios section (as well as the Pixar section) it stated...

"Following are the projects included, listed in chronological order under the Disney+ and feature films distribution headers."

when compared to the Lucasfilm section:

Following are the announced projects, listed in announcement order under the Disney+ and feature film headers:

At the end of the day, I don't care what comes out when. I'm just stating that at some point in time they were intending Ms. Marvel to come out first. That's all :oldrazz:

I only care for Ms.Marvel, because Moon Knight couldn’t be released until Ms.Marvel is finished. Delaying Ms.Marvel means delaying Moon Knight as well

I saw this on Reddit.

Maybe Hawkeye really is coming out before Ms. Marvel, but my question is what's happening in the 6 weeks between What If's finale and Hawkeye's premiere?

There's probably gonna be an ASSEMBLED episode for What IF...? the week after its done and a Marvel Legends episode for Hawkeye the week before that show premiers. So there's probably going to be no Marvel content for 4 weeks, which is the same amount of content gap between Falcon and Loki.

Oh duh, and Eternals come out on 11/5, so there's that too. So it might look like this

10/13/2021 What If...?
10/20/2021 ASSEMBLED
10/27/2021 n/a
11/3/2021 n/a
11/5/2021 Eternals
11/10/2021 n/a
11/17/2021 Legends
11/24/2021 Hawkeye

I'm intrigued how they are going to use Jeremy Renner after this show if his character survives. Are they really going to have 2 Hawkeyes running around and appearing in the movies and shows? Clint and Kate aren't even that interesting.

the rumors are that if he survives at the end of the series, Clint will retire for good to be with his family.

Eternals will be released on a Thursday here and there was also a Loki episode during the week when BW was released…so there’s that

But yeah, Ms.Marvel probably won’t get a 2021 release

did expect it mid September, during the Emmy‘s (because Marvel has lot nominations)
But maybe this week, because Marvel is dropping new trailers every week for the last 3 weeks
