This looks like so much fun, the chemistry between the two is already so apparent its going to be enjoyable just watching them in a "buddy cop show" together I can tell, just hope the story is engaging enough to go with it. Cant wait and only a few days away.

Don't be surprised if Yelena Bulova only shows up in a post credit stinger for Season 1.
The tone of the series is too happy for her to just plop in the middle of all this Christmas Craziness.

I did indeed see BW. But, Yelena is being sent to kill Hawkeye as revenge for her sisters death. That's more than a little darker than the rest of this story.

I changed my original post to come off as less snarky (didn't mean to), but that still doesn't really bear too much darkness on the story because we know the circumstances around Natasha's death, we know that Clint didn't do it, and it will more than likely be one of those "big misunderstanding" story cliches that's quickly resolved. Yelena might even assist Clint and Kate against the big bad of the show in the finale.

Personally, I have been hoping that Clint finds some way to SHOW Yelena what happened, share his memories somehow.
I do not know how they do that.
But, I think that the visual route is the best way to go when it comes to having that conversation.

I've heard reviews say it's more in tone with the Netflix shows......we'll see. Not all of the Netflix shows were super dark though. In fact, out of all of the Netflix shows, Luke Cage was the one with the most "non-serious, non dark" moments. With Luke Cage, the lighter moments were Luke's various flirtations with women, him at the barbershop with the patrons and said owner of the barbershop having a swear jar, one of the patrons David Griffith selling DVD's of the Battle of New York followed by creating Luke Cage merchandise and an app tracking Luke's location, the quip to Misty about how Misty could be his sidekick when Misty got her bionic arm and tried it out for the first time, him meeting Method Man at a convenience store, his workout to the point where he was offered a try out by the New York Jets.

That really depends on how much that is actually true. Valerie wanting to manipulate Yelena by offering her a chance for revenge, doesn't necessarily mean that Yelena actually *is* "Rar, must kill Hawkeye because stupid!" Keep in mind the same stinger also had Yelena showing more than a little contempt for Val as an employer, and didn't exactly have her loudly declaiming her eternal vendetta.

My guess/hope is that Yelena does show up, but she's not really out to kill Clint, she mostly just wants to hear what happened from his mouth. Which doesn't mean there won't be fighting, since Yelena is a poorly socialized murderbot whose idea of "Hey, sis, I missed you" involves guns and knives, but you know, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't overly bother Clint Barton.

I think the after credit scene of Black Widow made really clear that she hasnt such a respectful opinion about Valentina and she will not blind follow her orders. One fight scene like in Budapest, followed by a little chat and they are good with each other is my bet.
