Pretty much. If Euphoria was the ONLY thing HBO had going for it, it'd be a much different story (and we'd have probably seen season 3 already) but they have other big shows to fall back on and the cast has other big projects lined up too. No one needs this more than Levinson.

Something tells me the only reason it hasn't been cancelled yet is because HBO has 4 of the biggest up and coming actors already signed for a third season and probably at a cost of not what they are worth these days. They don't mind the delay currently because in the end whether the show is good or bad they'll get viewership for the names alone. The longer the delay the more chances of movies like Dune 2, Saltburn and Anyone But You that hit the more that possibility goes up.

‘Euphoria’ Season 3 to Begin Filming in January 2025 With Entire Main Cast Returning

“Euphoria” Season 3 is officially set to begin production.

The long-delayed third season of the Emmy-winning HBO series will begin shooting in January 2025 with all principal cast members returning, per HBO.

“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on ‘Euphoria’ in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films.

I'm expecting a time jump only because that's the easiest way for them to address Angus Cloud's real life passing.

A time jump would definitely make the most sense, given how long it’s actually been since the last episode (and the fact that one of the actresses is literally in her thirties).

I just think it would be funny if we came back 3.5-4 years later and it’s like “Yep. Still in high school.”

Did he really have anything to do in S2 after failing to stop Fezco from beating Nate’s ass at the party?

After watching The Idol, I'd have a strained relationship with anyone involved with that project, too.

I doubt Zendaya is completely blameless in all this, but there’s no way in hell this isn’t at least 51% on Levinson.

Levinson should have put The Idol on the backburner and moved ahead with season three after Zendaya was finished filming Dune 2. I'd say he should have struck while the iron was hot but that's also not the most accurate statement since the cast are more popular now than they were then.

Storm Reid Not Returning for ‘Euphoria’ Season 3: ‘I’m So Glad That’s a Part of My Legacy’

Storm Reid will not be returning for “Euphoria” Season 3, the actor revealed.

“I’m very excited for Season 3,” Reid told Rotten Tomatoes on the Governors Awards red carpet. “Unfortunately, Gia’s not returning to the third season, but I am so so indebted to the cast and the crew of that show, to HBO. Euphoria’s a really special thing and I’m so glad that that’s a part of my legacy and that I was a part of such a cultural phenomenon … I can’t wait to see what Season 3 has in store.”

HBO declined to comment.

Reid starred as Gia, the younger sister of Zendaya’s Rue, in the first two seasons of “Euphoria,” which premiered in June 2019 and finished airing Season 2 in February 2022.
