While the creator wouldn't give away too many details, he suggested he was inspired by various conspiracies that have plagued the Southern California government over the past 40 years.

I think its going to be 1 woman and 1 man. I'll be fine with that as long as they don't hook up at some point because its just contrived. I don't know the plot or time period of the next season, but I'd like to see Bryan Cranston and Jessica Chastain at some point. They seem like good fits for the show.
