One is a classic heist film, and the other is also a very beloved Ben Affleck heist film. The Town is always compared to Heat due to some similarities, and I've seen some people say they prefer it to Heat.

Which one do you guys pick. Which heist film do you prefer?

HEAT and it's not even a contest.

Love both movies, two of the best around but as good as Renner and Affleck were, they are no match for DeNiro and Pacino.

Not even close... HEAT.

Yeah, Heat by a million miles. The Town is solid, but Mann's is one of the great crime films of all time.

Heat is far more memorable/iconic and while The Town is intense, Heat is white knuckle level intensity.

I prefer The Town but thats the Affleck fan in me. Heat is superb but I prefer The Town.

I really liked The Town, and Heat about put me to sleep.

Aww...here I was ready to vote for Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy's The Heat, and instead its a movie I'vw never even heard of.

I only saw the Town once. It was...a movie.

I also love both movies, but Heat is just the best in the heist genre.

I fear for the future's of Fincher and Hush. I mean can they really be let loose onto the street's with views like these?

The Town is a good film.

Heat was a game-changer, and one of Mann's best films - next to The Last of the Mohicans.

Heat by faaaaaaaaar is the more superior movie than The Town, I mean you´ve got Pacino, DeNiro, Kilmer, Sizemore, Studi, allstar cast, The Town just has Ben Aflac :csad:.............no contest.

Pretty much what everyone said. The Town is very good, but Heat is Mann at his best.

I'll admit that Heat is long and self-indulgent at times with all the subplots, but it's also such an engrossing experience. Both are good films when it comes authentic-feeling depictions of bank robbers, but Heat steps it up to that level of crime epic where it's this massive game of cops and robbers.

Had it not been for Heat, The Dark Knight would not be what it is today. Mann's sensibilities are all over that film.

Heat has some of my favorite scenes out of any movie.

"I'm angry. I'm very angry, Ralph. You know, you can ball my wife if she wants you to. You can lounge around here on her sofa, in her ex-husband's dead-tech, post-modernistic bulls---- house if you want to. But you do not get to watch my f------ television set!"

"Told you I'm never going back..."
"Yeah."

That ending gets me right in the feels every time.

I'm going with The Town. I couldn't get into Heat. I did like the DeNiro/Pacino scenes though.

I almost can't even believe this is a thread that poses this question. It's Heat no contest. I mean that is just a classic heist film. And that street shoot out is insane.
