Pretty simple premise. A poll and thread to see which director you like more. Both have directed almost exactly the same amount of feature films. Both are staples of in their respective genres, with the die hard and Batman franchise. Which director do you prefer?

Nolan wins 9-2 for me.

Looking at the list, I say that McTiernan did slightly better at start, and then Nolan took over it.

Apart from maybe Die Hard versus Insomnia, Nolan's overall filmography is far stronger IMO.

Awful 'narrative' match up between directors here. Tonally, vastly different in what they hope to present, achieve and aesthetically provide an audience.
