I was staying at a hotel the other day and caught what looked like an 80s movie on TV. I missed both the opening and ending credits and there was only 1 actor in it that I was familiar with. I didn't catch the whole movie (I fell asleep watching it) but maybe someone here could tell me what it was.

The only details I remember from the movie are that it starred a young Christian Slater playing a rebellious dual-personality high school teenager who runs an anonymous radio broadcast from the basement of his parents' house that a bunch of other students listen to, the broadcast gets more popular and the whole school starts listening, eventually chaos follows from all the ideas that he's spewing and the school turns upside down with teachers and officials trying to crack down on the students (but of course there's a happy ending and he gets a girlfriend who understands him and knows his secret identity as the radio guy).

So anyone know what the movie is from this description? I know I could use Google but I thought I'd ask here instead. :oldrazz:

you can always tell by the receding hairline.

80s - normal

90s - higher

2000 - Jack Nicholson status

Thanks Gilpesh, you're good. ;) It looked an awful lot like an 80s movie with the cinematography (well and the clothing and hairstyles too of course).

my friend and I had a talk about decades. Usually the first 2-3 years of decade looks like the previous decade and by the third-fourth year, that's when it becomes it own.

For example, usually movies from 1980-82 look like they're still in the 70s, and then the 80s that we love came in at 83-84 (New Wave, tacky clothes), ie Scarface and Valley Girl.

That's why Saved by the Bell (in the 90s) still looked like the 80s. It was pre-grunge and gansta rap.

Can ayone tell me the name of this 80s or early 90s movie about these little aliens dressed like world war 2 pilots how crash in a town?

There's this movie,I don't know the title

It's about this nerdy girl, then suddenly lightning strikes or something,I can't remember, and she got possessed by a witch/ghost??? and she becomes a whole totally different girl with black fingernails and spiky hair?? And she looks so different than before and she has powers??

In the end,she did not revert back to her old self. I guess the change is permanent.

Yeah, more than likely, "Pump up the Volume" was probably shot sometime in 1989 and wasn't released until 1990.

So I went on a trip recently and saw another movie on the hotel TV that clearly looked like it was from the 80s. Missed the opening/closing credits and didn't recognize any actors this time, but maybe someone here knows what it is?

It was a "vampire" movie with a son/mother vampire duo and some very incestuous scenes - in fact, I almost couldn't believe there were actual sex scenes between the son & mother characters in an 80s movie. :wow: Anyway, the mother vampire kept trying to catch cats throughout the movie to kill them, because somehow the cats could kill the vampires by scratching at them. The son vampire got interested in a girl at the high school with the intent to bring her home as food (i.e., human blood) for his mom. At the end of the movie the son vampire ended up killed by a cat and the mother vampire was blown up with gasoline. Oh and the mother vampire was able to change the color of a car (and turn invisible) through some creepy supernatural ability.

Definitely was one of the more creepy movies from the 80s that I've seen, and I've seen a lot!

I also caught part of Critters the same night (which I've never seen before), man that was a trippy movie. The 80s "hair-metal" look of the bounty hunters was hilarious! I fell asleep watching it though. :(

I believe that was Steven King's Sleepwalkers

Sleepwalkers is worth checking out if only for Mark Hamill's cameo looking like Lt. Jim Dangle from Reno 911.

Sleepwalkers are full of cameos. Clive Barker, Joe Dante, John Landis and Tobe Hooper are all in there. Which is the only fun thing about that awful movie.

I'm not sure if this is the one I'm looking for but thanks anyway.

There's this werewolf movie, I don't know the title.

It's about this married woman, a mother who got seduced by a werewolf guy.

She met him and he invited her to his house and later he bite her foot?

Then she starts having werewolf effects like going to supermarket and sees fresh meat in the frozen counter and she starts having saliva from her mouth.

Got a funny scene. They have a house party and the mother is stuck in the bathroom trying to shave away all her werewolf hair.

In the end,the mother transform into a werewolf and fight the werewolf guy

Movie ends with the daughter asleep and she has werewolf teeth and saliva coming out of her mouth.

Does anybody knows the title of this movie????

My Mom's A Werewolf. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097938/

Here is a difficult one guys. lets see if we can get it. Ill be shocked if we figure this out.

My memory of this movie dates to when I was about 6 or 7 years old. My mother put it on the VHS when I was about that age, so the release date would have to be some time before 1988-89.

If memory serves, it was an japan anime movie (judging from style).

My memories of this are vague, but I seem to remember a vampire trying to seducing some young woman, who was often accompanied by some fluffy/cutesy creature (i think a cat). I have a memory of a scene where the woman is nearly seduced, but rejects the vampire, at which point he gets all frusterated, and somehow causes an earthquake to occur, which not only shakes the ground, but causes magma or lava or something to spring up from the fractures in the ground.

I remember thinking at the time, that this was way too serious for a cartoon, as my previous exposure was limited to transformers and thundercats or something.

Any ideas what this may have been?

Wow, I let this one sleep for a while...
So I looked into princess miyu. It might be the one. Though I can't find any scenes from it which match my memory. Also, in the movie the girl was not a vampire, I think. Just the rich powerful guy that wanted to bang her/suck her blood. I assume her was rich and powerful because he lived in this really ornate mansion with a massive staircase at the lobby area. The cat was a white puffy round thing.

I also have a problem finding a movie, my memories of it are very vague but i remember watching it on tv in my childhood, i think it was from the 90s or early 20th century, i think it was about the old myths in modern times and i only remember that one of the characters was Medusa and that there was a scene where she was using sun glasses, and i remember nothing more, i think, i think there was a pegasus too
