Help needed from fellow Cosplayes and Con-goers

Hello all.
I am about to start working on my Halloween costume, well one of them anyway, and I need some advice. I am looking to make a Slade costume, the Teen Titans cartoon one not the comic book one. I want to create the helmet that he wears and I am not sure what materials to use. Some have suggested using pink/blue foam among other things. I would like to make it look as authentic as possible. The helmet would need to cover my whole head. Any suggestions you guys have would be most helpful. I think I am going to start creating costumes more often now and I just need to know what is out there and how to go about it (and maybe some links to sites with info). I know there are lots of talented people on here who have made some great costumes. Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon.
